And even then, I don't know if he knows how to design men's bags. I thought he was the general accessories designer before. The new men's bags which look like paper bags with the Gucci logo are stiff and unappealing. The logo is too big on them; I thought visible logos were no longer fashionable, especially with clients looking for discreet luxury.

The messenger bag with the GG logo is okay, but it's nothing to write home about. It has a raw unfinished look to the leather, which can end up looking cheap because the edges of the leather pieces look a bit frayed.

This bag is no longer on the Gucci website, last year or so, I thought the same about the Gucci leather shopper, but changed my mind. There is a smaller version of this bag and it is quite appealing. I have it and it gets rave reviews... it's called the Gucci Ghost Yellow Graffiti Leather Tote. It has the yellow spray paint on the front top of the bag that says 'REAL' over the Gucci embossed lettering and the back has multiple GG's in the same yellow spray paint. It's a nod to the graffiti artists and the counterfeiters. I must admit... this bag isn't for everyone, and you don't see it around because it was ridiculously expensive and kind of ugly, and maybe that is why I love it more now, then when I purchased it a couple of years ago and didn't use it, considered it a collector's item. Fast forward, I am glad I purchased the smaller size and wished I would have also purchased the XL since my style progressed and I enjoy taking risks that most men are afraid to take when it comes to fashion.

I know which bag you are talking about. Please share mod shots! I really liked the Gucci Ghost prints, and that big tote bag grew on me too, especially the "Real Gucci". The later "Guccy" collection wasn't as nice for me. I had a chance of getting some of the "Guccy"
stuff on additional sale at the Gucci outlet, but I couldn't bring myself to buy the pieces. I think people who don't know as much about Gucci's products may not get the deliberately misspelled name, and think I have an actual knockoff.

Yeah I definitely changed my mind on the GG messenger that I now have. So glad I now own it. My first impression of it was that the unfinished raw edges look like a lower-end bag, but when I saw the bag in person, I realized how thick but supple the leather is, which lower end brands usually don't have as they sometimes use thinner leathers to make the leather soft, or thick leathers feel too stiff.

So true... I will share a picture soon. The 'GUCCY' line is quirky and fun, I have the same concerns as you do about how it would be received... but I will wait for a great deal on it before diving in. I really love your bag. Your post alone will make that bag highly sought after... Gucci and Alessandro Michele should really consider making you a brand ambassador for Gucci.

My new favorite purchase... The Gucci Credit Card Key Chain. Fashion is a language for the eyes... your personal accessories tell a personal story about you. Think 007 James Bond... he was cool and stylish, what separated him from the herd was that his accessories (gadgets) were awesomely amazing ! He was for the world, but his gadgets/accessories were for him and his personal use. My name is "J!m".... "J!m" Bond ! lol

Aww thanks! Not sure if I would make a good ambassador as I don't have anywhere near enough Gucci to do it, and I play it more on the safe side with my styles.

Thanks... it is very current and very limited and still in the New York Flagship on Fifth Avenue. They only have a few pieces left (I inquired before I purchased... I like having the only one and/or one of the few to have a hot item... makes me feel special. lol) They had it on the Website as of last month and now I don't see it on the website anymore. It's pretty and pretty heavy and made of brass... it cost a lot for a keychain, but I couldn't resist. Again... strike while the iron is hot I always say.
