I am pretty frustrated with Matches Fashion right now. Usually their customer service is on point but not this time. I returned a black soho due to horrible glue marks on the tag and requested for a replacement. They offered a replacement that had the same marks but it's on the front of the bag on the logo! + £25 credit. No thank you...

They said it was the last stock they have. However its showing plenty of stock online?

I had the same exact issue. I sent it back a month ago and after a month of waiting they haven’t sent the replacement. I ended up canceling the order. I was so frustrated because I bought it during the time prior to the price increase. They kept changing the story about where the “replacement” was. I ended up asking for a refund. I ordered from neiman Marcus instead. Thankfully they were able to honor the initial price, with 15% off prior to the price increase since I ordered from them first but canceled it because it’s back ordered.. thinking that matches would deliver faster. Haste makes waste!

I would be calling up during London business hours and ask to speak to a supervisor. Do not budge unless a brand new one gets despatched! Basically they want your business or they don't!

I made sure that my replacement was thoroughly checked before it was despatched.
 
Hi All, I'm new to this forum. Does anyone know whether the colour of the hardware changed for the current soho disco bags compared to earlier versions? I saw one with a darker/yellower gold compared to what I have.. so it prompted me to google it and found a site that compared a genuine to a fake. Their real one was also a more yellower gold. I purchased mine from matches this year...

Gosh! What a run around. Sorry to hear about your bad experience too. So great that you were able to price match it though. Matches has the best price for me so I have to stick with it :/

I was considering calling too. They were quick with their email replies but once I mentioned I could see plenty of black soho online they stopped replying!
Good tip, I'll be asking them to have a once over before sending me the replacement. I don't want another headache [emoji19]

Just received this black soho and there's something on the tag, like glue? Would you return? It doesn't seem to come off.

All you ladies that got a black soho disco lately, is your leather soft or a bit stiffer?
I have this in navy and beige and both the leathers are on the stiffer side (which I prefer to retain its shape).

I hope they wont be sending faulty returned bag to other buyer.
Do you need to pay for the return shipping cost?

Do you mean they acknowledged the defect on the replacement bag before they send to you ?
