Just added this beauty into my collection. My first Gucci, so I played it safe with a timeless Black Soho

Luxury products should have luxury service right? It could be possible that they don't receive the packaging when the shipments are received from Gucci. I do know that at least in my past experience working for a department store that purchased Prada wholesale for it to sell directly, ALL the packaging came with it the products - so those big heavy saffiano boxes came with each bag. The boxes were being thrown out though and the department stores' packing used instead! Maybe it's just a logistics matter that no one really wants to much around in.

Totally understand but given that I was told that a replacement bag would be sourced from a Gucci store if need be; I didn't think that 2 boxes would be a drama. . .

I got my disco bag from Matches! The shipping is fast and their customer service is excellent. The bag didn't come with the Gucci box but it doesn't bother me as long as I have the guccci dust bag. The bag and tassels were well packed! I love love love this bag so much!
