No, I don't think you are being too difficult. It's a big order value (you ordered 2) and any company in their right minds would be hoping for repeat business.
To have your bag for 1 week is ridiculous without yet having the replacement leave them. What on earth is taking them so long? I wonder whether they ever did keep one back or they had to source from scratch?
I ought to have posted mine back today but had a worry in the back of my mind that they wouldnt have one 'saved' by for me after all and i'd have a big old delay or worst still no bag and a refund. Didn't know whether i should just suffer the rough area of inking, the litle dip and carefully wash the dustbag to remove the black stain?????...........

I have also been told this but my oldest designer bag is a Ferragamo and it's been stored in the dust bag and box for 17 years. The bag looks absolutely brand new. It is not recommended to store leather bags in their boxes as it does not allow the leather to breathe. A dust bag would suffice.
