How odd. It seems several people have had this plastic odor with their bags. Mine has smelled always smelled like leather. (Again, I bought mine from Gucci, but would that make *any* difference? I tend to doubt it...)

I purchased both from gucci too.
It is odd. I too think its from the packaging or storage. It is a very unfamiliar smell. Maybe it is just their leather smell from production. Nothing that worried me or threw me off. The smell disappeared shortly after.
I will have my nose on my next gucci purchase (GG marmont matelassé mini) and see what happens

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about buying this bag, but I wanted to see how the bags have worn after some time. I generally prefer for my bags to be pretty structured and I've seen some pictures of older Disco bags that look quite slouchy. Can some members who've had their bags for awhile let me know? Thank you!

Unless you fill it with thought and handle it gentley it will most probably loose the structured shape as the leather softens with time. If you are into structured bags i would not recommend this for you.

View attachment 3706888 I received my order from NM and so far everything looks good. The bag was carefully wrapped and appears to be in pristine condition. The product name on label is a little different - NM receipt referred to it as Soho Small Leather Bag - but the code included in the shipment is the same as the style code listed on the Gucci website for the Gucci Soho Disco bag. Also, I put a clear elastic band on the strap to keep it from flapping; I think that works and is subtle.

This was the one one sale at NM. It's literally the same bag, just a slightly different name for some reason and the description was wrong.

Idk they claim to not know anything but their CS reps seem incompetent for the most part.

And the descriptions for the soho disco bags on the NM site don't match the ones on the Gucci site at all! Like size and strap length. I compared the sites and NM was pretty off haha.

I have had my Gucci Soho for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it, it is the perfect bag.

Unfortunately the other day when I was cleaning it out I noticed that my YSL Volupte-Tint-In-Oil had leaked inside it Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaners that will get stains out of canvas? Its a bright pink gloss

That was pretty much the same label in my packaging for my black disco except color code and picture were different. Really annoying that they just don't know these things.

This is my first guicci - what is the small piece of leather provided for in the bag? Is it meant for testing a leather care product on it for colorfastness? Do I want to treat it with Apple Guard Leathercare before first use? Any other tips? Thanks

It's to test products before applying to the actual bag.

I also have that solution for the strap. But am using a transparent hair tie since my Disco is red

It was actually my LV SA that recommended the transparent hair tie since I used a black one first (and she didn't like that obviously hahaha).
