I can see your concerns but it looks ok. Mine from Neimans was shipped squished in at the top and lots of loose stitches. They are not too hard to get at the major retailers now if youre worried about getting another.

I am very shocked at Neiman. Usually when I get anything from them; especially bags; they are packed very well.

Maybe you can stuff it and then secure the perimeter by placing it in some type of box; possibly a shoebox; to straighten it out.

That loose stitch should never have passed quality control. The store should have at least sent it back. It's so obvious. We pay way too much to ever want to keep something like this. And I love Gucci!

I sent it right back. For that price it should have been pristine. Just opening my new one from Saks!!

Good for you! I'm very happy to hear that! I hadn't known if per chance you had gotten it on sale lol. Glad they had one at Saks!
Now when I get my black studded disco bag this week from Gucci I hope there's nothing wrong with it cuz I can't return it because I had gotten it on sale from the outlet. :)
BTW the red disco is gorgeous. Enjoy it! :)

Ha ha ... No I paid full price for it:)
You should be fine from the outlet. I did actuallly have them send me a few pictures from the outlet in Texas before they sent it out to me. I even asked about the zipper working smoothly. Luckily, it was great. I think the black studded is so much fun and goes with so many things.
I will post pictures of my new red disco this evening!

Wow. Whoever packed that box should've known better. I understand $1k is on the lower end of luxury bags but still, the bags should be in excellent condition. I'm probably making a fuss over nothing with my bag. I'm just very particular with my things. Probably ridiculously so.

Holy smokes, I hadn't realized the loose stitching also. That's pretty messed up! And yet paying full price!!!! Where is the quality control?!
I had gotten a soho disco blue nubuck last year on sale which was damaged; I showed the SA who in turn showed it to her manager; hoping to get a further discount....like that was going to happen lol. I returned it. :)
Can't wait to see your new bag.

I think regardless of the price, all items from these stores should be pristine. I guess one would expect this from EBay or something but I guess quality control was lax. I'm super picky too:)
My new disco from Saks was packaged meticulously and in brand spanking new condition. The strap was still in the white packaging material so it had never even been put together with the clasp. It was stuffed so the bag held its shape and no loose threads:):)

Hi, a quick question for all the Soho Disco owners. Have you experienced any color transfer on your bag? I have been longing for a disco forever & now that I hear on TPF that they are discontinuing this bag I am considering getting one. I would prefer the red or brown color because I think that it shows the GG better but I fear that dark denim might leave a mark on the back of the bag. So that would leave me with black which is also a great choice, however I already own several black leather cross body style bags. Although I could always make an exception for Gucci! Thanks in advance!
