Fabulous look! Love the pairing of the patterned bag with that lace dress. Exceptional styling.

+1

Your BTH looks stunning with that lovely white dress.

100% perfection, sweet and totally cool all at the same time

Thanks for the compliment!:hugs:This bag goes well with almost everything! I was going to carry it today but it started raining and I'm still too afraid to bring it out in the rain.

Ladies i notice the bamboo reall stretch pretty quickly. Im talking about the BST. I only carried her for about a week and one side of the handel already started to stretch open v obvious. I got a shock and so scare that i decided to put her in therapy (retainer) for a week before i bring her out again. Haha!

I notice you're in Singapore. I'm in Australia and I notice mine stretching too although not as much as you describe. I think it may be climate related. I put the retainers on as soon as I get home and only take them off when I take the bag out and this seems to stop the stretch.

I think Wudge has the best remedy

I never used to bother and mine have been fine (temperate zone) but I think it's a good idea to leave them on when stored just so you don't lose those nifty pieces of plastic. I lost my 'retainers' (prob. moving) but my SA gave me some more just in case, always good to take precautions when storing.

Hello All, I bought my bth tote preloved..what are the retainers you speak of, where can I get them, and how do I use them? When you say bamboo is stretching, what does that mean and what does it look like? My apologies for all the questions. I absolutely love this bth tote that I bought preloved and I want to keep it in my colletion for a longtime so I want to care for it properly. TIA

Here's a picture of the retainers from a fellow tpf user.

It seems for those of us in warmer climates that the bamboo handles can have a tendency to try to re straighten so we use the retainers when the bag isn't in use to help maintain the bend in the handle. The bags come with the retainers on them when you buy them from Gucci. You could try contacting Gucci to see if you could purchase some. I doubt they'd be particularly expensive, they're just pieces of extruded plastic. I'd also recommend keeping it stored in a cool, humidity free place when not in use. HTH.

Thank you so much responding. I will contact the Gucci store in Saks and see how I can go about getting some retainers. I guess every bag has a "thing" about them where they require a little extra care. Lol
