My BTH arrived today! I'm so in love with this version! The colour of the bag is deeper and richer than the gucci stock pictures. This bag is the perfect size for the day and an evening out.
So pretty, is there actually a gold leather under the laser cutting?

Yes it's is - it's metallic gold leather.
Here are the Bamboo Top Handle Bags I am thinking of purchasing for my mom and the Gucci collection.
#1 is a small BTH which is blue calf leather
#2 is a medium BTH in light brown tone cellarius leather
#3 is a medium BTH in Cherry Red calf leather
#4 is a medium Pony Hair and Black calf leather

Wow, how many bags are in your collection? Does your mom use them all? I like the small and medium sizes too.
There was a red and a blue (Aviation blue) that had suede lining (AW 2011). I think these may be later though, as the Red and the Blue I'm talking about had a more brown-red, grey-blue tinge respectively (hard to tell from the pics, go through the thread - I have a large in Aviation blue). If they are the ones with the suede lining then I would be deciding between those for her.
If not, alternatively,
I think the light brown is the most versatile, a total day>night no-brainer, it's the most regal of those colours too
