It has less to do with the vendor than the item. Even reputable sellers get caught with fakes. That said, I can't recall RueLaLa's reputation off the top of my head.Is rue la la authentic?
I was thinking they'd been clean so far, at least with Prada bags.Rue La La - so far, so good. Haven't yet seen a fake onsold by them. Doesn't mean it can't happen though.
The only, and I do mean ONLY, source of 100% authentic Prada bags is at a Prada boutique. Any other shop or reseller is a risk, even if they've got a great reputation. I've seen it over and over and over.I was just looking at Prada bags on Rue La La today. I’m so tempted to purchase! But I’ve seen on here in other threads that Gilt sells fake Prada bags and ever since I’ve been freaking out about a YSL bag I purchased there. And, Rue La La owns Gilt.... so then if Gilt has been caught with fakes isn’t that the same? Does anyone know or can confirm if Gilt has sold fakes?
Welcome to the Purse Forum!Hello! Hope everyone is well. First time ever posting here, I came to do a bit of research before pulling the trigger on a bag on Poshmark. Have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Authenticators' comments and hilarious cracks about the fakes (though I realize it is terribly serious subject, particularly the superfakes). Also saved me a ton of money I'm sure, as I was contemplating purchasing a Mercurio Saffiano Lux double zip tote from a seller that seems to have an endless supply of *very* reasonably priced Prada bags. Too good to be true, perhaps? This particular seller has even been featured in news articles about power sellers. So, as much as I'd love to pay $1,000 for this bag, which appears to be very nice online with tags, authentication cards etc., I'm going to pass and save my pennies for a sure thing at a Prada boutique someday or maybe a different brand altogether (if the Prada Saffiano quality is still as poor as I've read). Thought I'd just say that I loved every minute of reading these threads, laughed out loud, and learned a *lot* without having to learn a lesson. So thank you!

Thanks for the nice greetings!Welcome to the Purse Forum!
You're right, a new Double Zip Tote for less than half price is absolutely a red flag. And with Saffianos being faked so 'well', it certainly is wiser to shop at the boutique!
Could you maybe share the name of this 'power seller'?
(Not asking to authenticate, by the way, I know that is for a different thread. Just providing information.) LThanks for the nice greetings!I did insert (and then delete) a link to the seller. It's a little scary to make such a suggestion about possible sellers of fakes online, but perhaps these bags are real? You all here would be the best judges of that. Here is a link to the listing (with the seller's moniker shown). https://poshmark.com/listing/New-Prada-Saffiano-Lux-Italian-Double-Zip-Tote-5ed03ef5691412d062a37b71
I won't make any assessment, plus you can't even enlarge any of the photos to be able to see things properly. But I wouldn't touch any of that stuff. There's no way anyone could've gotten those items at those prices. And remember, the price you're seeing is what the seller paid + what he wants to make on the resale, so he himself paid even less than that. Thanks for the nice greetings!I did insert (and then delete) a link to the seller. I actually think this seller is legit. He would have been called out by now? Also, he says he's a professional reseller and buys from the stores. Probably has connects to take the merch of their hands? He seems legit and I would honestly get the bag!!Thanks for the nice greetings!I did insert (and then delete) a link to the seller.
