I say simple solitaire. Perhaps a Leon Solitaire? I think those stones are perfection and I wouldn't add more to the ring because that thing needs to stand out.

Halo makes the stone look much bigger than it is, and help the center stone sparkle a lot. Tiffany also has Novo, which is a spectacular ring especially if the center stone is over 2.5 carats or so. Nothing is wrong with white gold. I just don't care for them.....maybe it's a cultural thing. I'm from Japan and when it comes to engagement & wedding rings we always use platinum. They say because the platinum don't tarnish and change color, and also pure metal, which they see it as the marriage to be the same way....pure and not tarnish forever. It's the mental thing and also I prefer the color of platinum better, it looks more gunmetal silver look I prefer and I love the heavier weight of it......I can feel the weight when I wear it, but white gold is really light that makes me feel it's not substantial.

You know, what's old is new again! My MIL brought out her grandmother's ring for DH and I to see when she was visiting last and O...M...G!!! 4 carat cushion cut set in a halo w/pave like diamonds along the shank...don't know what they called it back then. It's over a hundred years old and I swear, if I wind up with that thing, I won't want anything else! :angel:

I KNOW!!! My mom, grandma, and soon myself will have VERY different halos, but halos non-the-less. I think its part of why tiffany LEGACY is a halo. My grandmas is an OEC cut with a halo similar to the legacy, my moms is a cushion w/ halo similar to the leon mege. All are original, neither one of the has upgraded. Mine is a RB, will be getting the upgrade soon! It would be awesome if you one day inherit that ring from your MIL, if I was her, I would NEVER take it off!
