Got my upgrade diamond! Now the setting dilemma...

Which setting would you pick?

I think Halo is out. Like some people stated here, I do think it will be overkill...and I don't want the busier look Halo gives. I'm going towards solitaire pave band.

Congratulations on your ring - it's gorgeous! I love it as a solitaire. The stone is so beautiful that it speaks for itself. Micro paves are also pretty, but wouldn't be as versatile if you wanted to stack with other eternity bands. And I think a halo would detract from the beauty of the stone.

I think you should not even really listen to people when it comes to things like this. Its YOURS. I tried it to get opinions in a different forum regarding my upgrade, but went completely opposite of what everyone suggested once I tried rings on. I think you should go to a jeweler that has some pieces similar to leon mege and see what you like better.

Anybody can have little diamonds. Why would one put those little diamonds covering any part of that gorgeous stone? I have alot of little diamonds. I would kill for a big diamond like that.

just as it is!!! your ROCK is STUNNING!! leave it alone!! whenever i see halo i automatically think ' hrmm.. i think she's trying to make her ring look bigger then it actually is ' puhahaha.. and you don't need it.. plus considering how beautiful your stone is i really think it would just be distracting from it's natural beauty.

THANKS EVERYONE for kind comments!! I just sent my stone to Leon!! I will seek his advice on which setting(first pic with pave band or the last pic with micro pave) will look the best for the stone. It's sad that the stone came to me and now it's gone for another 6-7 weeks, but I'm sure it's worth the wait!!

Wintotty, congratulations! That is absolutely gorgeous!

Personally I like either leaving it alone as it is, OR the micropave band. Definitely not halo - it would detract from the beauty of that amazing diamond, IMO.

So I can't wait to see how it looks when you get it back! Can you please do some modeling pics and maybe mix in some of your stunning VCA collection as well??!

seriously stunning! congratulations!

i voted for the simple solitaire... i think it brings out the magnificence of the diamond by itself without distractions. i think if you will wear it with your eternity wedding band, it would also be the best option, because an intricate setting + wedding band would be too much IMO.

second choice would be the LM setting, but i would wear that by itself without the eternity wedding band.
