Got A Letter From Coach...

I think the reason Coach is touchy about returns without receipts is because I bet there are people who buy stuff on ebay and return sans receipt. If you have no receipt, you can return without it and be ok as long as they can pinpoint where it was purchased. I think they assume it's from ebay if they can't pinpoint it. I'm sure some people also might buy at a department store and try to return a bag to Coach after the dept. store's return policy has run out too. It looks like they are getting more protective of their return policy, possibly to avoid changing it from the way it is now.

It's the money. I'm with you. I have needed a root canal since last Nov. I refuse to put out the money. No dental insurance here so the cost is almost $1k. No thanks. I only have sensitivity to hot and cold so I will just wait it out.

You might want to re-think waiting? You can lose a tooth that way...sometimes it gets so bad they can't save it if you wait too long. It happened to me and I had insurance. I'm just afraid of the dentist. It's pure torture to me.

I didn't say compared to every company. And to send a letter to a customer that has spend lots of money and to almost call them a criminal is offensive. Sometimes it's just how it's said that makes a difference. :smile1:
I was asking how you how they treat customers different that any other company. The letter never called the OP a criminal nor insinuated it. All it did was state she made too many un-receipted returns in a short span and that Coach cannot allow her to do that anymore. You, like many in this thread, took it out of context. She wasn't called a criminal, and she wasn't banned.

WOW! I have made SEVERAL returns also....w/o a receipt. I will say, ALL the bags were purchased through the boutique. They could track them, if needed. Now I'm WORRIED!

All of the bags/ accesories exchanged were purchased at the boutique as well. Two of them were exchanged in the same boutique they were purchased from. They are all fully traceable. I still got the letter.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a "loose return policy?"

Compared to department stores, the Coach policy of allowing people to return things anytime with no time limit is quite generous. I could return something I bought 2 yrs ago with or without a receipt....but of course they might not like it if you abuse it.

Oh thanks ...I was reading for an hour, a little tired, and thought it was refering to something "very specific" ..... Actually I was in an outlet and saw that happen. A woman returned a bag that was 2 years old.... Sorry Didn't mean to hijack the thread.
