I will!

I'm selling 6 of my Coach loves to pay for my LV
and perhaps a little Gucci :p

I'm a huge fan of Gucci and once you get yourself a guccissima leather bag there's no going back!!! It's simply lovely.

I understand your frustration, but Coach again has the most lax return policy IMO. Gucci you cannot even return after 10 days (if bought at the boutique) and LV, I think its the same (I have a receipt in my car & will have to double check cause it is written on it).I could be wrong. But I know Gucci is really strict.

I agree that Coach has a very lax return policy (not as lax as Nordstrom though!). So I don't understand why they would send a letter regarding "suspicious" returns - especially when it's only 6 returns. Then what the company should do is to implement a stricter return policy on the receipts - such as no return/exchange without a receipt and no return/exchange past 14 days. Gucci is very strict with a lot of things like returns and complaints about bag defects but my personal experience is that the SAs at Gucci are much friendlier than at the Coach boutique. All the bags at the boutique are behind the counters so there is less handling of the display bags.

I read through here and am surprised that some find receiving a letter like this strange. Bloomingdales will call you and tell you that they are unhappy with your purchasing items and returning them. A friend of mine purchased 600.00 in items during the holidays and returned 500.00 of them she received a call telling her that if that continued her account would be closed. Her answer was please close it immediately. I personally have never had a problem with Coach and have exchanged quite a few items but I always return to the store where purchased and try to see the same associate. By the way I have exchanged more than 6 items with and without a receipt.

I think that sometimes people take things too personal, I know my friend could have with Bloomies. Sometimes instead of letting this get to you just say good bye to that store and move on. If we are healthy, and hopefully surviving financially during this poor economy everything else is minor.

I have to agree with you. We all get upset over things like this...but in the big picture a letter like this is very minor. We all need to quit worrying about getting "the letter" and get back to enjoying life.

Wow, this is crazy of coach. I noticed when i returned my flower fob a few days ago, the SA didn't know how to complete the return and another SA just told the one on the register to just put in "no receipt" " ... and I guess this is another way to get flagged? If you have a internet receipt and not a store one? I thought I didn't hear right! Then you tell them about, "why did you put no receipt, i dont want to get flagged for a receipt that i obviously have, even if its from an online order" and they look at you like you come from mars!!! Very weird!

they just did that to me too! I ordered the bee charm off the website, and returned it cause it was ginormous, but the girl didn't know how to decipher the web receipt. i should've said something but i didn't really think about it.

Yup, I tried to make a return at the outlet once with the invoice that came with my bag from JAX. They wanted to offer me almost 50% less of what I paid for the bag because they did not know how to read the invoice. I had to drive an hour to a FP store to do the return and they still did no know what to do with the invoice so they did a no receipt return. My second one so far, I am scared now.

I'd encourage both of you to document this just in case you get "the letter." Make sure you write down the name of the SA, manager on duty, or whoever told them to put it in as a "no receipt" return, include the time and date of the transaction. If or when you get flagged for a letter, then you can offer to fax them your documentation. It sounds like Coach needs to understand that some of their lesser trained SAs are involved in the problem not the solution.

I am going to have to double check my last receipt now. I did a return and re- bought with PCE with a Coach.com receipt.
It is just freaking unbelieveable that they put you guys as having no receipt.
I would definately take the old and new receipts back and demand the manager fix it.
That is just wrong !
