Global Hermes Profile

Maybe these countries are not connected, but more than 3 only on wishlist system (without any spend) is unusual. Although one SA showed me 9 QBs in a year on someone else’s profile as an example, and said this SA’s manager refused to offer the 10th bag. The following year this person got 4 I believe.

I know that they do not need to get approval up to 3, but that the 4th needs to be approved.

I also have a friend that receives around 15 QBs a year, but she spends more than one million dollars at H a year, so they don’t care I guess.

Unless you are doing tax free, no one generally asks to see your ID, so your passport would not be in the system.

This “head office” and “wishlist coming from Paris” if wishlist is not in Paris is total BS.

Stores generally have an “allocation department” for wishlist, and an office will do the allocation, but SAs can connect with their own internal office (and generally know the people that are doing the allocation really well) to follow up on their client’s wishlist. Plus there are many other bags that are not allocated through wishlist and SAs can ask for manager approval to allocate bags to their clients.

That is how wishlist system works. Anything else you hear is BS. If SA says “I don’t know etc.”, find another SA. They know really well, and I heard from more than one SAs in different countries that it works as I described to you.
thank you!
No my friend is receiving 1 bag per country. Total 3 bags per year, and all of then through wish list. She spend around 10-13€ in every store per year. Because she said it’s enough and she received every year a bag(3 years in a row). Nqb too, but i am talking about qb.
About your friend with 15 is like wow.

My sa told me that they will email paris… i was like ok🤣 still waiting for a response))
So I am thinking to try to get somewhere else on a wish, my sister is living in Germany. So i will have address there)
But i am a little scared to make a prespend in Germany, get on a wish list and not getting the bag because i am already somewhere else on a list.

I just don’t understand how they can not connect a client list(email, passport..) and see the qb.

You say that SA showed you a profile with 9 qb, in wich country was that?

She is doing the prespend for each bag and receiving 3 QBs, so it is fine then. Without prespend anywhere it would be unusual.

I think Germany you have to buy a little and then come back to put name on wishlist. I am not familiar with wishlist there, but there is a separate thread for stores in Germany.

I can’t tell which country bc I don’t want SA to get in trouble, but manager at that store refused to allocate bag bc he/she saw 9 bags showing the prior year.

Please tell me, has anyone seen their profile and the number of qbs in the profile? I'm interested in whether they see in different countries exactly how much you bought per year and when. Or have they still not united the base? Maybe in Paris they can see all the qb?
Hermes can basically see how many QBs are purchased, it might not be at every single (smaller) store worldwide yet, it might depend on SA seniority and level of access to records and ultimately it depends on whether the store wants to enforce it strictly. The last depends on strength of relationship, tenure and unfortunately prespend as well.
Paris can definitely see global QB purchased each year. As I said it depends on whether they want to enforce it.
I would personally not place a wish for the same specs across 3 stores. Imagine if they do offer them to you. Two, let alone 3 multiples of the same bag is highly likely to raise red flags.
Just my personal advice.

I’m very curious about the “global profile. How does H know it’s you?!
When I was at in Paris, they took my passport. Looking up my passport they would have my name but not an email, phone number, or local address. On the other hand, my local store doesn’t have my passport. Between my two visits to Paris and 5 years apart, I’ve changed my passport too. How do they know it’s the same person?

I have been thinking about that also. Maybe credit card?
I guess one can create two separate accounts-
in the US: give US address, phone, email, make sure to use one CC
in Europe: passport, a computer phone number or DH's, any address (if asked) and make sure to use a different CC
The ship has sailed for me though as I have too much connected to both of my profiles to change them. It will not be a problem for me in Europe. They know my main store is in the US and I buy plenty with them to justify offers. My SA in the US might have an issue with European purchases. I guess if it comes up, I will consider changing my European profile. They know me well at my European store so I do not think they need to look me up to approve QBs.
The problem becomes a credit card. Only one of my cards has no limit so I am not sure how I would handle that for bigger purchases.
Oh, I know! Spend less!

Ahhh… that makes sense. The credit card!
Once we make purchases the profiles are linked!

What happens when one goes to the leather desk without prior shopping in Paris, I wonder. If they had never made a purchase with a credit card that could link up their profiles, the passport alone wouldn’t make the connection then?

There is a separate tab that any SA has access to that shows how many wishes you have pending. It does not show where or what, but it shows how many.

If you are in the US and put 5 bags on wishlist, even if it is not a true wishlist system, it will show 5 wishes there.

In my case I am the only one in the world with my name and last name 😅. I really wish I was Mary Smith. Everywhere I go there are a dozen profiles with my name because of all my Internet purchases in many websites.

They generally know by email, phone number and address.

I know for sure that Switzerland can’t see any other purchases except for Germany. My husband has a profile in France with at least 5-6 qb, but in Switzerland they can’t find it, they find the profile of his brother who buys in Germany, but never a gb.
They cannot see purchases from other countries, but the KB count is on all profiles. You won’t see a separate profile for KB or wishes; once they link profiles, just the collective number of KB and wishes will be there. It is manual, so not all QBs you get in a year might show there once they figure out the person is the same.

I heard about us wish system when my friend put 7 bags on. I was like-hooow?? In Europe you chose 3 colors and 1 bag🤣 so if my sa see another wish in my profile, i will tell her its us🤣.
About the profiles, when i get for example in UAE store I give them my phone number for getting in the line for sa. In my profiles in Europe every time for tax refund earlier I was giving them my passport. Yes, you can change the passport but somehow your profiles can be connected. Maybe with date of birth and your name…
But thank you all for this info.
Its very interesting. In UAE they don’t see another my profiles from Europe (they say its a franchise store).

U.S. wishlist: bag comes if you meet prespend and have relationship with SA or if you get really lucky. It is not like the wishlist system in UK and other countries. Hence you can have many bags there.
U.K. wishlist: even if you spend little, if you keep renewing your wish, a bag (either K or B, can only choose one) will come in one of the three color groups (you can choose up to three color groups), sizes you choose (up to 2) and leather you choose (one). You don’t need to have SA, but it helps if you spend. Some other countries in Europe are similar. Italy, Spain, Portugal, France (not Paris) for example work in a similar way, but you generally won’t get a QB unless you are local and spend some. Wish is a little more flexible bc they can list color options on notes (depending on the store in UK, they won’t do that).

In some of those countries they have both a wish list attached to a client and bag inventory available for sale
