I’m debating between the jumping boot or the horse boot. For consideration, i live in Canada where the weather is terrible half the year lol

For those with either boot - which one would you recommend ! TIA
I prefer the horse boot as slightly edgier IMO. The jumping boots are very narrow in the leg, and need quite a bit of breaking in. The horse boots were super comfy from day one. Try both on if you can! Both have leather soles. If you have lots of bad weather I’d recommend adding a rubber grip sole too. You can’t go wrong with either!

Alas, the Jaimie boots are too tall on me too! They hit the bottom part of my knee. It’s not painful but it’s annoying when walking and bending the knee. I am 5’2” and I definitely have a short lower leg lol. My SA said he thinks the shorter version (Jaimy with a Y) would be better for me. It’s more of an ankle boot.

My SA prefers the shorter boot for me, so we’re waiting on sizes to come in. She also thinks it’s more user friendly,
So better cost per wear. I do wear Hermes boots (though I have less luck with the shoes), and part of me is wondering if
these are simply slightly elevated versions of moto /work boots made by doc marten et al.

ETA: Hermes has been down the tall boot route many times (with the jumping boot and others). I don’t understand why they cannot create a shorter tall boot right off the bat. A taller person can wear a shorter tall boot, but not vice versa.

Yes I tried those on too! But forgot to take a picture with everything going on lol. There was a LOT happening today. Some other SA came into the dressing room and was helping me with my skirt and between that and the shoes and the pants hemming …
But yes also waiting for my size in the ankle boot version! Although I really wanted a tall boot so disappointed the Jaime version didn’t work for me.

I just picked these up last Saturday - they’re even more beautiful in person. However, I am around 5’4-5 height.
That's amazing! I'm 5'5, we're similar height. How was the sizing, did you take your usual size? I have wider feet so I'm still on the fence whether I need to half a size up. My SA would have to order it from another store so I'm on the fence.

I took my usual size but I have pretty narrow feet and tend to be fairly consistent in sizing. My SA did suggest at first for me to size up but I went with my gut and stuck to my normal size. I think you should get them :)

I went to go pick up a belt I ordered and ended up impulse purchasing an ankle boot. It's summer and too hot for them, I can't wait for the fall! I got the Jill 60 ankle boot in black. I live in Vancouver and apparently this was the only pair in my size in the country!

Bought these two pairs of boots. Both called Jaimie, one with a “y”

I’m short 5’2” and while they did hit around the knee, they weren’t uncomfortable. I was able to zip them up fully, but my SA commented that they were not fully zipped on the runway. She also showed me how to adjust the double zip on the boot
Itself.

I took a 37.5 which is my normal size for H boots. For the shorter boot, I took a 38. For sake of comparison, I take a 37 Birkenstock; 37.5 Chanel ballet slipper.

Just wanted to add, the leather rim hitting the back of the knee will be an absolute none starter for many. I can sit; I can walk; I will mainly wear them half zipped (the rim still hits) and I love them enough to deal with it. But, they are really about three inches too tall (too much boot). So this issue is really something to think about carefully prior to purchase

ETA: someone asked me about weight. Here is weight of a single (one) boot in ounces. Tall boot is 35.6 oz/ 1008 grams.
Short boot is 27.2 oz/771 grams

This is super helpful, thanks for sharing! They look so good on you. Sounds like they’re a nice little leg workout around the ankles hehe.
