@jag, just happened to reread your post. Do you mean the Hermes jumping boots? Bc I bought a pair of toile ones. (This is my summer of tall boots bc for years, I’ve been heavier and unable to squeeze into them. I would never be able to fit my calves into 12 inch boots). The Hermes toile jumping boots are 15 inches in circumference by my measure.I was so worried bc the riding boots are a 12 inch circumference 🤯
Yes!!! Thank you so much!!! I am so glad you just said that bc I was told a few years ago (different SA) that the calf circumference was 12 inches. Maybe I misheard her- but I never even tried because I my calves are 13 inches so i figured I was totally SOL. Now you just gave me another reason to go shopping@jag, just happened to reread your post. Do you mean the Hermes jumping boots? Bc I bought a pair of toile ones. I will for sure!! I am going to give them a try once the weather cools down a bit here. Will report back!Seriously everyone is different in terms of comfort and tolerance. If you were extremely uncomfortable when you tried them, unzipping might not matter or help. My SA warned me that they might be too tall and rub (she’s also short). I haven’t walked much in them, but I love them. So if I end up taking Ubers until I break them in that’s okay. For 10-15 minutes of walking so far, they’re fine for me. But it is an individual thing, and more people seem to pass on them then buy. For the lower boot, I don’t plan on tucking in. I’ll wear them with a leather mini skirt if I want the boot to show the buckle details. Or with straight or full cut pants like jeans or Hermes cargos. I also probably bought them too big for most other people. I’m normally a size 37.5 in H boots and they only had a 38 in the short boot. But I was so excited, I didn’t want to wait lol. Plus, I prefer my boots a little big in case I decide to wear thicker socks or put a Birkenstock insole or my custom insoles inside.ETA: I think I can also fit my insoles in the 37.5 tall boot.
ETA: @jag, I got heel lifts. But DH pointed out that they have adhesive and he’d hate to see me ruin the interior of the most expensive pair of boots I’m likely to own. He also pointed out that the heel lift would push my forefoot forward and might make the toe box uncomfortable. So I’m probably not going to use them. lol But, please tag me if you find a particular heel lift or something that works![]()
Love! I haven’t worn mine out yet. It’s getting colder now yay!Twins!
Thise are fantastic looks. Love them with the skirt. Certainly inspiring me to break out of my jean+moto boots rut. Only concern I have is that with thin-thin legs they tend to look disproportionately Frankenstein-ish on me. They look GREAT on you!@Kimchoi12
I would wear the short Jaimy boot with skirts if you decide to try them, or any chunky ankle boot again. I might wear them with jeans or cargos, but if you don’t like that look, it would be cute to roll the hems up. I do think a straight or wider pant opening is a leg lengthening look (good for shorties like me

ETA: here with Dior plumetis skirt, white knit jacket, moto jacket; hermes knit dress, boots, hat; Chanel cardigan jacket and jeans. Jim Morrison doors t shirt.

Omg thank you!! This is such an inspiration and I have the exact same skirt so I’ll end up twinning with you@Kimchoi12

I’m a similar height to you @880 and also struggle to find tall boots which don’t dig in at the knee, or are just wrongly proportioned for me. You mentioned heel lifts - I use these with no adhesive so they don’t mark the insides and they don’t move in a boot with a low-ish heel. I’m in the UK however so may not be available to you?Seriously everyone is different in terms of comfort and tolerance. Hi,Cross posting from the FW2024 Thread
Does anyone have any intel on the cowboy boots from the show?
I have been lusting over them ever since I saw them on the runway.
I passed by a boutique in London recently and they told me that according to their records they are not being produced!
I find it strange as they are very close to the Vegas boot and it would just take a few tweaks to produce this model.
Also they were shown in the second FW runway in NYC so I am really hoping they will eventually make it to store.
Anyone that attended the pre-order event with more info?

Hi,
I was at the show but unfortunately do not have any information on the boots. I didn't ask my SA about them, but it seems like half the things I like, they tell me is not being produced, so if they told you it's not being produced, that's probably the case. 🫤
