Giving TIPS to sales in order to get a BIRKIN?

Wow Just read this after my long post.. I guess I was right... I would never do this to my friend.
Btw, If you think it's so unfair, why you want someone to report it and not yourself? Your intention was to catch attention on public forum, so someone will report your friend and the SA to Hermes.... Wow

I firstly posted this because I wanted to find out if it's common; I want to know is that the reason why few people could get Birkin quickly, like two or three within a month, and now i think I will probably call the store to report this.
And, it's nothing about the relationship between the "person" and me.

I don't understand why anyone would be surprised that something like this might have happened at Hermes. Bribery and illegal things happen everywhere and all the time. Hermes is no exception. I am not saying that it did or didn't happen, only that I am not at all surprised. Hermes is just a store. If government officials accept far bigger bribes for far more immoral reasons, it can happen here, too.
Also, if someone read it and tried to do the same thing and ruined a healthy relationship with their SA, that wouldn't be the OP's fault. We all read about crimes committed by others everyday in the news and that doesn't necessary make us feel we are entitled to commit the same thing. If we do it, it's our own fault.
In my opinion, yes it could have happened. I am not surprised one bit. Hermes SAs are human beings. That some of them would accept money for a Birkin favor is entirely possible.

I understand your point and if I were you, I would express my concern here also just because I am curious if this happened to anyone else. I don't think you are attacking your friend or anything. And people should know this situation and recognize this wrong doing and prevent this from happening!

This is so horrible! Lately I have been sad myself for not been able to get my first dreanm Kelly or Birkin. I live near South Coast Plaza Hermes and the demand so high that I have never seen neither of those on display. And the SA over there kept on telling me to build buying history (to what point ??? I have no clue !). I am thinking getting one from Ebay but so afraid so many of them are fake

i had a very same experience with SCP they are awful and terrible and rude SA especially a female one. take my advice find reputable sellers believe me they are out there and have excellent prices i got what i wanted, payed more but i figured i would not be told to pay Hermes rather pay a private party making a living. They do all the hard work for you. dont loose hope

I've read many times of people being offered birkins and kellys by tipping the SA, and this thing in most cases happened during a trip to Italy. Sorry but I don't think it's true, I tend to believe these people bought fake bags and don't want to admitt, so they tell about the tips. To the Op: why don't you offer to go with your friend to H next time she wants to buy a new bag? So that you can actually see what happens between her and her SA

I feel like I happened upon a pit bull fight. Each of us takes in information and processes it differently. We choose to believe, not believe, fine but to attack someone else is not cool. For people who did it, we all hope you stop doing that.
For people who know somebodyelse did that before, could contact Hermes store to report this, if you like.

Tpf is not a place for fighting, as one TPFer just wrote above.

For myself, if in the future by any chance I could proof that really happens, I'm going to report this to Hermes store for sure.
