Giving TIPS to sales in order to get a BIRKIN?

I struggle to believe this is happening, honestly, an SA would be putting her or his job at risk... However if it is, it is a dreadful dreadful state of things.

Putting a "minimum wage" job on the line for money, skeptical, really? Who would have imagined Madoff attracted so many people hungry to make a buck. (All that glitters is not gold -- birkins or kellys). I used to be gullible but somewhere along the line I've become a pragmatist where little to nothing surprises me any more.

Yeah I thought tips might work in Italy or something, not the US, especially in NY flagship. They got camera everywhere especially the leather floor, don't know if tipping is actually happening.

you are right :) maybe it happens somewhere else! I was told that for each birkin they sell, they need to run it by their manager and the manager will check who the birkins are selling to before giving it to the SA. Tons and tons of rules in H and don't know what really works.

This is correct, well at least according to my home boutique. SA can't just sell a kelly or birkin to anybody without explaining to SM the circumstances. Unless the one taking the bribe is the SM then I don't know.

This is truely sad. I have never been told by my SA that I had to spend tons of money to get a birkin or kelly. My first birkin came about 6 weeks after walking into my H for the first time and purchasing a kelly dog tag and then another one months later without having to purchase a ton of other stuff. I think you need to find a different SA.

This is called bribery and corruption. Both the customer and the SA are in breach of laws if this is a real case. The particulars you gave out here will be easy enough for someone to report to police and track down the SA and customer involved.......

to be honest, I somehow want somebody to report this to hermes, since it 's so unfair and illegal I think.

That is NOT legal for sure, but that really happened. I don't believe it at first, but finally when this happened between my friend and her sales, I believed!

I mean she is your friend right? If you have a problem with it and think its unfair, you can try to talk to her?! I just don't see a point of you come on to a public forum "complaining' about how unfair it is that your friend bribed her SA. I would talk to my friend if i had any problem. And not go on a public forum and talk about her. With the detailed information you have given about your friend's purchases on here, i think Hermes/the store can find out who the SA was. We all know Hermes check this forum. And other tpfer who also shops at this store will prolly tell their SA.... Words will get around. I have a feeling you had no concern for your "friend" at all.. I also have a feeling you came on the forum give these detailed info about your friend's transactions, maybe is to ruin her "special relationship" with her sa? Because you think it's unfair...

I'm sorry if Im wrong or sound wrong.. That's the feeling I get after reading this. Im not saying what your friend did was right. I can understand if you want to rant. But at the least I would not reveal the store name, dollar amount, what she bought, how many she bought, good color or not.... Just because that's my friend. And I'm sure my friend wouldn't expect me go on a public forum to give away her detail transaction after she told me. I myself would not like my friend go on a public forum and talk about the personal things I told my friend. In fact, I would prolly be very mad if I find out.

Wow Just read this after my long post.. I guess I was right... I would never do this to my friend.
Btw, If you think it's so unfair, why you want someone to report it and not yourself? Your intention was to catch attention on public forum, so someone will report your friend and the SA to Hermes.... Wow

Agreed. I also didn't appreciate the op's posts. What if some of us believed her story and desperately tried doing bribery with their SAs? It would ruin the healthy relationship between H and us.
