It's awesome looking, and PVD services are offered by MANY 3rd parties. However, realize it voids your warranty, and kills resale value.

Not a deal breaker for a lot of people, but useful info for sure.

I like the look, but would rather get a PVD watch that was factory done. There are enough companies offering PVD watches these days, not to have to take a Rolex and "paint" it. JMHO.

Also remember, if you like the look and already OWN a watch you love, be it Rolex or otherwise, you can have this treatment done for a few hundred dollars.

=)

^^^^ You are meaning powder vapour deposit? Same as in some of the component parts on Rado are treated? Just to clarify,as if its the same thing, peeps here may not know what pvd is.....if you mean something else, please forgive me butting in!:flowers:

I just saw the rerun of the Oprah episode where Jennifer Aniston promoted the movie Marley & Me. She was wearing an all black watch similar to the one in the picture. Check out youtube if you want live footage :smile1:

And I wear a huge watch now that I think of it, maybe I'll try to post a picture ;)

Ok, so this is my crappy photo booth picture taken at night :smile1: Anyhow, it is not a very high-end expensive anything watch... But I bet it's the watch that's been on Everest the most times :roflmfao:

I love it for its barometer and altimeter, use it a lot when hiking and in everyday life to predict the weather (ok I just outed myself as a complete outdoors-geek with a meteorological-fetish :D, but I can still love H can't I?)

The watch is a Suunto and not very stylish, but I love it!

baggiegirl, that watch looks difficult to read...

LOL!

Cool watch =)

And yes, PVD refers to coating the watch =) It is similar to how something is gold plated, except the goal is to make it black, in this particular case.

wired1, chaz: thanks! it no way compares to Panerai, Omega, Rolex etc. in craftsmanship and so on, but it sure does the job it's designed to do! And I love the look I sometimes get when a man notices my watch, and you can see he knows what it is....

^^^^^^^^^^^ Doesn't matter a bit what it does or doesn't compare to,as long as you love it,it really doesn't matter! I remember a Tissot that looked much the same with similar functions,a girl I knew bought one and she could have had her pick of Omega,Rolex or Panerai but she adored the 'techy' look of the Tissot and bought what she loved most.Total kudos to her I say.
