Girls in their 20s-- what make up is working for you right now?

Eyeshadow- MAC, Urban Decay Naked 1 and 2

I use Marcelle or Ponds wipes to take off my makeup at night.

I just started getting into blush. I wear MAC Dainty most days but I have a Nars palette so I am going to start trying those.

I'm 22 Combination skin

HG Foundation I love love Mac studiofix liquid. Many people hate it but I think it does a great job. Revlon colourstay is another good foundation, especially for the price.

HG Powder I love Mac mineralized Skinfinish for a powder. This is what I wear alone most of the time. When I wear foundation I use this to set it.

HG Moisturizer Olay Complete all day spf 15. Love this stuff.

HG Primer Monistat chaffing creme! This stuff is great and cheap. I don't think they sell it in Canada, so I picked it up while in Chicago at CVS. Check ebay.

HG Lipgloss Maybelline Shine sensational in grape. So good and cheap. I picked this up at Shppers for $4.50 a few weeks ago.

well i think for me i like to keep my make up simple and comfy
i love glossy lipsticks but now its cold so i'm using a slightly mat lipstik
i focus on my maskera alot and make my upper eyeliner slightly smoky cause i dont put eyeliner inside my eyes
i dont usually use eyeshadow but when i do i use natural sandy colors cause i'm blonde
and for the blush i use a pronzer because i'm very fair but i use a beachy or pink to balance the pronzer and my face!
and i thnk in this age we should focus on protecting the skin and using creams so that when we age our skin dosent get affected

I'm stealing GoodMornin's lovely format! Very effective!

I'm 23 and have combo oily-normal skin (oily forehead and nose, normal elsewhere).

Facewash I actually use Proactiv 3 times a week, even though I've never had acne as it keeps my skin insanely smooth and clear! I also use Cetaphil & have for years - such a miracle.

Exfoliator I use the good ol' St Ive Apricot! I tried Lush Ocean Salt but it was so harsh on my face that now I just use it on my body.

Moisturizer Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. It's so lightweight yet really does moisturize! Perfect for the summer as well.

Sunscreen Australian Gold in the summer, and in the winter I layer an SPF moisturizer over my Clinique DDMG but it doesn't matter which.

Primer Love, love, love MAC Matte gel, MUFE HD primer, BeneFit the Porefessional & Smashbox Photo Finish.

Foundation Right now I use both MUFE HD #117 Marble, & NARS Sheer Glow Mont Blanc. Both are great for photos and last for ages as well as match & feel like my skin. It looks like you have nothing on! For a lighter, loose foundation I love Proactiv Sheer Cover in Bisque. Bare Minerals was a disaster for me, but I love Sheer Cover because it's especially easy to travel with. I'm not a Proactiv spokesperson, I promise!

Blush NARS, 100%! The Danmari palette is a STEAL, but don't be frightened of the colors, they're wonderful! MAC is also my co-favorite.

Lips MAC, MUFE, NARS, YSL. NARS seems to be hit-or-miss with me, but the rest are always a great pick. For amazing lip balm I go for Jack Black (in the men's grooming section!) and Yu-Be, both available at Sephora.

Eyes Too Faced Shadow Insurance is HEAVENLY. I usually use MAC, Stila, and MUFE shadows. NYX is also a nice brand! I'm mostly a MAC shadow gal though.

I'm 20 on the button - so I hope that still counts me as in my 20s!

Facewash - Cetaphil and this Clearasil 2in1 mask thing once a week.

Moisturiser - PM: Aloe Vera gel and neosporin as a spot cream (seriously, it works)
Moisturiser - AM: Simple Derma Intensive Relief Cream but it kinda sheds or something when you rub it so I put some Ponds Clarant B3 Cream over that.

Primer - Mac 50spf one.

Foundation - Mac Studiofix and Revlon Colourstay mix with a dash of liquid highlighter.

Concealer - Mac Studio Finish

Finishing Powder - This Loreal Vitamin C one and then Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil

Blush - Nars Taj Mahal

Eyeshadow - Normally the daily version is Mac's rice paper and satin taupe.

Eyeliner - Revlon Colourstay Liquid Liner and the twisty pencil one for the waterline.

Mascara - I switch these so often and I STILL haven't found one I like yet. Currently it's some Rimmel London one.

Lipbalm - Vaseline Rosy Lips

Lipstick - Mac's Hug Me.

Aaaand ta-da! I'm done! Looking back at that, I think I wear too much make up. :S

I'm turning 24 this year (where did all the years go!?), got combination skin in a humid/tropical weather but dry skin during winter.

Facewash: Laneige face wash + make up remover. It's pretty good, gets rid of my makeup in one wash unless I've been got on 3 thick coats of mascara.

Moisturiser: Aesop Mandarin Facial Hydrating Cream for winter, it's sooooo good!

Foundation: Shu Uemura Studio Architect, I've been using it for years, best one for me so far. Coverage isn't thick enough to hide scars though.

Concealer: Trying out Shu Uemura's cream concealer for my severe dark circles. Looked good when the SA tried it on me. I've used the benefit under eye concealer before, made the circles look grey instead of hiding them.

Blush: Nars Orgasm

Eyeshadow: Mostly neutrals from Smashbox, MAC or Too Faced.

Eyeliner: MAC Technakohl - just twist the pencil, line, smudge, and done! Easy.

Mascara: Dior Show in the Gold bottle. 2 coats and suddenly I've got lashes!

Lipbalm: Khiel's Lipbalm #1

hey  foundation max factor miracle touch -it's so good, it sits really nice on your skin!!! i use "warm almond"
eyes barry m black liquid eyeliner and maybelline great lash mascara (but i'm thinking to buy a new mascara don't really like this one) and then just a bit of light gold eyeshadow
lips just good ol' vaselline but i brush my lips in the morning with my toothbrush to make them smooth and remove dead skin...but when i go out i love revlon lip tint in "flame"
cheeks i don't use blusher much, but i do use benefit "high beam" it's their highlighter, i use it on cheekbones, outside corner of my eyes and under the arch of my eyebrows

I'm 21 with sensitive dryish skin.

Cleansers
I use Cetaphil Gentle in the mornings. At night, if I'm taking off make up, I use Origins Clean Energy oil cleanser with a quick spritz of Avene Thermal Water. If I'm not wearing much makeup, I use Vichy Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 Calming Cleansing Solution. I also use it as a toner to take off the last of my make up if the Origins cleanser left some behind.

Moisturizer
Still looking for my perfect day moisturizer with SPF. For now, I'm using Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 or the La-Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen in the summer. In the PM, I use a Vit. C Serum, then Nuxe Creme Fraiche Moisturizing Cream in the winters, or Cerave PM in the summers. For my eyes, I use Fresh Lotus Eye Gel.

Foundation
I alternate between MAC MSFN applied with a kabuki and Origins Vita-Zing.

Eyes
I LOVE Prestige Total Intensity in Deepest Black for a quick 2 minute eye in the morning. I use Kat von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper for wings/flicks. It dries super quick so that it doesn't transfer on my monolids and it lasts all day. Nars' All About Eve Duo is perfect for a minimal eye. Nars also has some great duos for dramatic eyes: Tzarine, Rajasthan, Dogon. Chantecaille's Sea Turtle Palette is also a favorite for a natural look. I use Mac's Bare Study Paint Pot everyday as a base. Nars' SmudgeProof EyeShadow base is my favorite eyeshadow primer.

Brows
Anastasia's products are just fantastic. I use their brow powder duo with their clear brow gel for stronger brows. For softer, lighter brows (I have very dark hair) or when I'm in a hurry, I use their Tinted Brow Gel in Granite. I love this because my hair is black, but pure black brow products always make them look too harsh, whereas brown products look super unnatural since they are too warm. Their tinted brow gel isn't warm at all, it fills in my brows while toning down the harsh black a bit. I also use their Matte Highlighter for my brow bone.

Blush
I use Nars Penny Lane for everyday. I set the cream blush with Lancome Miel Glace or with Mac Warm Soul. I also like to dot on a bit of Nars Cactus Flower some days.

Bronzer
Chanel's Soleil Tan de Chanel gives a gentle, beautiful warmth. I also use Dior's Matte Sunshine SPF 20 in 002.

Highlighter
Dior's Amber Diamond. Of course!

Mascara
I have almost no lashes to work with, so I neglect mascara the most out of all of my makeup items. Benefit They're Real surprised me very positively.

Concealer
I use YSL's Touche Eclat on good days, and The Balm's TimeBalm concealer on bad ones.

Lips
I am devoted to Dior Addict Lipstick. My favorite colors are DiorKiss and New Look. I like Dior's Lip Polish for low key days. My lips are chronically dried out, so I really cannot live without lip balm. After extensive experimentation, I think the best is Lypsyl. It protects for hours and hours without feeling greasy. I like Kiehl's lip balm for overnight use, but it's too greasy for daytime.

Bonus
Mac's Fix + is an essential for a beautiful sheen on the skin. I started getting so much more compliments on my skin once I started setting my make up with it.

Just came across this and really enjoyed reading it, thought I'd contribute

I'm 22 years old and I have sensitive skin, very prone to redness and an oily t-zone.

As far as skin care, I use Philosophy's Purity cleanser with my Clarisonic and Hope in a Jar moisturizer at night. In the morning, I use the Hope in a Tinted Moisturizer to even out my skin tone, followed by MAC Studio Fix powder. For concealer (both under my eyes and on blemishes) I use Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer, which is now sadly discontinued--I am really trying to make mine last.

For blush I use MAC Peaches and for Bronzer I use Nars Laguna.

As far as my eyes go, I have very oily lids and have yet to find something to fix this problem so I will usually just use my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly to even things out then use my Maybelline Falsies mascara. If I want to risk my eyeshadow melting off, I use a light shimmery color--usually MAC's Shroom. If I line my eyes, it is usually with a dark brown liner just on my upper lash line.

I am a fan of lipstick, definitely not lip gloss. Some of my faves are: MAC Viva Glam Cyndi, MAC Captive, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy, and most recently Revlon Colorburst lip butters.

Thanks for reading!

I'm 21 with combination skin, and my make-up routine is very simple.

Concealer (if I feel that I need it): Lancome Effacernes waterproof or Amazingcosmetics
Mascara: Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara, Peter Thomas Roth's Lashes to Die For, Fairydrops Scandal Queen, or Lancome's Definicils Precious Cells
Lipstick (I actually have a really large collection :Push: - mostly pink lipsticks though): from Chanel's Rouge Coco to Rouge Allure to Glossimers to Rouge Allure Laque (favorites - Magnolia, Mademoiselle, Charme, #83 Glossimer), MAC (favorite - Chatterbox), NARS, Revlon Lip Butters (favorites - Sweet Tart, Candy Apple, Creamsicle, Lollipop), Benefit, LipFusion, Smashbox, YSL Rouge Pur, Vincent Longo lip stains, Dior Addict, etc, etc... As you can tell, I'm the type of person who plays around with lip colors the most. Haha.

I have normal skin which can sometimes go a bit combination in the summer, but not much at all, so I still would say normal lol. I have tried SOOOO many foundations omg.. From MAC, YSL, Guerlain, Lancome, Dior, Clarins... And just recently tried Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation and I LOVE it, perfect for my skin!! It isn't heavy coverage, more light-medium, depending how you apply it, but that's all I really need.

For lips I generally stick to pinks or deep reds. My skin is very pale and warm toned... Quite yellow depending on the time of year lol. I love Bobbi Brown lip glosses (the new super sparkle ones!) and Dior lipsticks are amazing.

For eyeshadow I just stick to browns/khakis/neutrals. Sometimes I will expand and wear some purple. I have light green/grey eyes so this seems best for me... Guerlain, Dior and Chanel have the best eyeshadow formulations for me!

Oh, and I'm 22 years old! Also, the best mascara I have tried so far is Bobbi Brown's Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara.. Seriously, apply to one eye, then go to the other eye, then one more coat on the first eye, and continue again for one more coat on the second eye. Perfect definition, length and curl. Also adds some nice volume. AMAAZIING. Bobbi Brown has really impressed me!
