I finally got my Pine Green Madison Crossbody bag. It's not love at first sight but I have a feeling I will like it a lot. For me, the shade is not the same as it appeared on the website. But it is a beautiful hunter green.

I've checked the inside of the bag thoroughly. I didn't find any Made in tag.

O hmm.. I should check my bag too since I thought mine was made on LI.

It looks very pretty. I think it's the same color as my GigiNY bag. Love green bags!

I found my made in tag on the corner of the inner zippered pocket. It is made in China! Not sure why I thought it was made in NY. It's disappointing but I will still happily carry my bag.

Is it a Madison Crossbody?

I read the website and they don't claim that ALL their bags are made in Long Island. They say "the lion's share of our products are made right here at our factory in Long Island, New York" which implies most but not all bags in are made here.

I've looked at all my bags again and none have a made in tag.

By the way, they are currently having a winter sale with great discounts. I have some of the bags on that list (Welby satchel, Hayden satchel, Jenn bucket), all of which are made in LI.

Mine is a Casey saddle bag. My mistake for assuming where it was made in. Thanks for the heads up on the sale.

Do you have a favorite out of the Gigi bags you have?

I, too, thought they were all made in LI!

I love the Jenn bucket bag! The Hayden satchel is gorgeous but it's heavy and difficult to open and close. The Welby satchel is super roomy and great if you like shoulder or hand bags. I haven't carried the Teddie tote.

Nice. I have 2 drawstring bags already so I won't be getting anymore. Your bags look very nice. The blue is stunning. I'm going to pass on the sale tho.

It's good to know about the Hayden. I was interested but not sure about that one. Thanks for your honest reviews. [emoji6]

I checked my bag again. This time I found the tag inside the pocket!! It was night time when I first checked. I blame my mistake to the lighting. [emoji6]

So I have been seeing a lot of Gigi New York and reading really good reviews online. I have to admit that I am a big skeptic of blog reviews (excluding Purseforum) since so many are sponsored posts. Anyway, after seeing the Hayden Satchel for half off, I decided to bite the bullet. I can say that the bag is well above its value! It's a thick leather, well crafted bag. I am more than impressed with the bag. I will definitely invest in more of their bags. I did notice that it feels heavy when full but its not a deal breaker to me. When worn cross body the weight doesn't feel too much. My only wish was that it was slightly larger. I also wish I had bought the python embossed bag but I wasn't going to spend that much on a whim (it was being sold full price in the colour I wanted).

So, if you're contemplating Gigi New York I would definitely buy. Dare I say, it's well above the quality of Rebecca Minkoff or Tory Burch (just my opinion). The price point makes it especially hard to beat.
