@Lanier - For some reason, I was unable to include both pictures in the same post! Anyway, here, you can see that I have the knob in the hole adjusted for use as a shoulder bag instead of crossbody. In the other picture, it was set to be worn as a crossbody bag.

This bag is from 2017 and most recently hit the Gucci Outlets. I bought it in Porcelain Rose which is a Taupe color. The black was very limited in the outlets, like only 2 were sent to each store and sold out immediately. Also, there is no magnetic closure. It is a top zipper closure.

I recently ordered the Gucci Marmont shoulder/camera bag in pink - fell in love with the color. The bag looks just right when worn crossbody but I prefer to wear it as a shoulder bag instead of crossbody. But when I wear it as a shoulder bag, it is too long, even when the adjustable strap is set at the shortest length.
Has anyone had a cobbler add extra holes to their marmont bag strap? I am debating if I should do this. Any feedback or thoughts are welcome.

I am thinking of adding two holes or shortening the strap. What did you do?

I think it will be a “classic” but not like the LV speedy or Chanel 2.55/CF. I think the Marmont collection won’t be around forever and the hype is starting to die down. I sold my Marmont camera bag last year, but then got the mini velvet flap for 30% off at Neimans last summer. So I still have a Marmont bag myself. But, just the fact that they’re going on sale shows the hype is dwindling a little.... but if you love the bag and still use it, KEEP IT! Who cares if it’s a forever “classic.” The designer handbag market is changing so quickly these days. There really are no “it bags” that go really out of style like a few years back - think Fendi spy, Marc Jacobs Stam, etc.

But as far as this bag “going out of style/looking dated” - I think we still have a few more years before that happens. Such as when Gucci releases a new style people flock to over the Marmont

I gave in. I saw the marmont in store when it first came out and I told myself a big NO. But I never forgot that bag. I kept gravitating around it. I got a black disco, a beige disco, a Chanel BA, beige Chanel mini re-issue and here I am. Never say never. Cliche but true. After reading about people’s experiences, I decided to give it a shot. Super excited

Honestly every bag you listed are the bags on my wishlist! Ahhh. I’m such a small (but not too small) crossbody gal. Any opinions so far with the new gucci marmont versus your other bags you listed?
