The told me that too and as I understod it was that they would like the people that comes in to the store to get a spot on the list to know what they want so that the time per customer when the list is open would be minimized. You tell them what you want and they will se if it is on the list, not needing to discuss everything there and then.

How long between getting on the list and getting one's bag? I'm wondering if it would be unwise of me to chase down stores to see if their list is open. If the lead-time is less than a year, DH might just have a cardiac arrest after the purchases he kindly made for me this year. If the bag arrives in over a year....well, his memory isn't that great!

Could take a month and it could take 12 so it is very hard to say. But the list opens twice a year so maybe wait to the spring opening should give you a bag that comes in the right timeframe.

The bags they will be selling once this list opens are for spring/summer 2009 so the earliest it should come is February/March although you'll be told to expect a year. If you were offered a bag after a month, unlikely, then it would be a cancelled bag from autumn/winter 2008 and as such you can refuse it. I would of course be sure to ask if that's what was being offered in case by some miracle your bag came in that quickly

I had better add that this did happen to me and I asked if I could refuse the rejected bag and wait for the one I had ordered (As I needed to save!). I was told by the manager that it wasnt possible! It did put the cat amongst the pixies!
