Correct! The stores will not give out any information re inventory/ordering of Birkins over the phone. All they can tell you over the phone is whether the list is open or not.

Hello Ladys I just want to share my story with all of you because I'm just sooooo happy!!
Two weeks ago i finally decided to visit my local Hermes Store. I came through the door and at once a very very friendly young SA asked me if she could show me something. I started purchasing a black Kelly double tour bracelt. After that i told her that my biggest dream would be a Birkin...I expected her to say sorry bla bla bla but she just said: let's go upstairs to look at the coulours the leathers and the size. I finally decided to get a indigo 40cm Togo Birkin with PH. I was just soooo happy and still am. Now there ist this loooooooooong time of waiting

Can anyone advise the list situation now in London? Is it just Bond and Sloane that takes list?
For Munich store, can u advise which SA? My understanding is that unless you are local Germans, German H stores will not take your order. is that correct?

We had people camping outside Hermes from 5pm yesterday for a list this morning. They will be in shock once Hermes cancels their order once they suspect bags are being ordered for resale. Same will happen in Paris too as Hermes restricts bags to known clients only. That will be a welcome news to all Hermes fans hopefully.
If Hermes cancels all the orders being made this week in London, it will lose many real Hermes fans too.
Now that the list system has been scrapped in the UK, how do we go about purchasing a BIRKIN? I am new to Hermes and TBH do not wish to prove my buying capabilities by purchasing so many accessories just in order to obtain a Birkin. I would however like to purchase a matching belt and scarf once I have purchased the Birkin - I like the idea of matchy matchy. Could anyone be of any assistance please?
I would never suggest that someone should by anything they don't like/use/can't afford but I would recomend just to pop in to any of the H stores in London, just to look around. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised how many lovely things there are to buy besides bags. Buying a few things regularly builds up a rapport with the staff and provides H with a computer data-base of your purchases. From 'there' it is easier to request bags (I wasn't aware London had actually changed their list policy recently but anyway). Only relating other's posts I have read that a trip to Paris often works out 'easier' for a bag only purchase ( I am no expert on the bag-only mission, I would be severely distracted by other merch) but there is no guarantee of any Birkin or any other bag in Paris let alone the size/colour/leather you want and an expensive fruitless trip might be costly.
