Getting away with a pink bag

I wear a lot of pink because it's my favorite color. I think it just depends on the shade and what else you're wearing.
I'm currently wearing my GUCCI Joy canvas tote. Probably one of my fave's.

I love pinkand I have no issues wearing pink clothes or shoes. However, I feel it's kinda tacky for someone like me who's almost turning 40 to be wearing a pink bag. I have a pochette which I believe is not to loud given it's size but I don't know about having a medium sized or large pink bag though. I would love to have one but I want your opinions about this. TIA!
First of all, 40 is still young!
There's nothing more fabulous than wearing that pop of color, whether it's the bag, the shoes or a gorgeous scarf.
You can still look very classy with a larger pink bag. It's the overall outfit that matters. And it's also important to feel comfortable in what you wear.
So whether it's pink, orange (which is very hot right now), red, yellow or electric blue, keep on rockin' that pop of color, no matter what age!!!:tup::tup:

By the way, check out Lisa Vanderpump from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" on Zimbio.com. She's totally obsessed with pink and wears it all the time!

I love it! The color, the design, functionality, and the designer. Perfect! It's a pale pink which I like and which I already have (the color). Looking for a darker shade, like a fuschia. *Hugs*

I have checked her out. She's awesome in pink!!! I like orange too but I'm not very good at matching outfit with it. Thanks! *Hugs*

This is so funny. Because I have this exact problem. I can't bring myself to buy a pink bag. I can wear pink clothing. And pink shoes. But a pink bag doesn't seem to work for me.

I finally figured out my reason. I can't wear a pink bag with a pink outfit. And I kinda wear a lot of pink. And I can't really combine pink with the colors I like to wear, mainly pink, turquoise and other shades of blue. Recently, I am addicted to cobalt. I don't often wear a neutral outfit, but when I do, I tend to go for greys and blacks.

I have found that on the other hand, purple and cobalt blue can go with pretty much any color I can come up with, without looking too "Barbie." So I just get those colors for my purses.

I have no qualms about pink accessories, like wallets, wristlets, etc.

I totally understand how you feel OP. I just stick with pink clothing. Still hunting for the perfect pink pumps! And pink accents.

**I can't do pale pink. It is really fuchsia, raspberry, neon or nothing for me.

Oh wow, I totally get you! Your pink style is so close to mine differing only in that I also like pale pink. I only have one blue bag but it's a structured ostrich so it kinda has to go with dressy. I love purple but I only have a purple small crossbody. DH keeps on discouraging me from buying a purple handbag. I might just have to hold off until I find the "ONE" bag.

I have the OPPOSITE worry. I am petite and have a fear that anything pink will make me look too young.

You're so cute! I'm 5'6" and consider myself average tho some think I'm tall but I'm big boned and have strong facial features. So, I kinda like pink to soften my features and my effect so I don't come out too strong😀

Count me in the can't-bring-myself-to-wear-a-pink-bag-but-love-pink club. I wear mostly neutrals but when I do wear color, it's usually pink. So, my solution to the bag problem is to carry a burgundy bag -- compliments the pink in my wardrobe beautifully *and* acts as a splash of color when I'm wearing neutrals without being too bubble gum.

I actually found a sort of a pink bag that I believe fits my lifestyle. It's an adorable bag from Lauren by Ralph Lauren. I've seen a textured bag like this in TJ Maxx, I believe, and almost got it in tan. I'm glad I didn't cuz I think this fits the bill. Let me show you a pic of this bag before I decide to order it. However, I'm kinda torn cuz I also like the black, brown and ivory combo. So, you guys help me decide 😊
