My preferred intersection is Rush and Oak - it's the intersection out this window :D

I don't know Park Ridge all that well, I hear it's changed a lot in the last few years, for the better. One of our sister hospitals is in Park Ridge but I don't get there all that often.

Excellent window choice!

Hello Ladies!

Pugsy! :biguns: More power to you, as I think I'd need something stronger!

Why thank you. I was seriously grossed out by the lil rolly polly thingy :shame:

Shelby, I flew for United Airlines....their training center is in Des Plaines. I lived in Park Ridge to be close to the airport since I was "on call" Is the sister Hospital....Lutheran General.....if so, that's where DD#1 was born!

Tillie! No way! My first job after college was with UA at their WHQ when it was still based out of Elk Grove Village :p

Nope you certainly are not snorting alone :p

*whew* oh good :D

Yes, it is indeed Lutheran - I'm on the phone with my best friend, who happens to work there, right this second!

PS.....what did you do at UAL? I do miss the free travel, also!

I was a flight analyst. We took the statistical data and holiday dates and planned how many seats to book. So basically we helped decide percentages to overbook the flights. No one liked us except when we opened seats for them :p

A lot of excel spreadsheet time and computer work

It was so much fun though!

Ok, so I'm checking in with my furby buds, and am COMPLETELY grossed out by the flying palmetto bug thingys, which turned me off of Pauillac's STUNNING truffles!!! I love chocolate truffles more than anything on earth (well, next to my family, friends and H, of course), and now the yucky palmetto stories are making me sick! :faint: As Lily said so succinctly, none of the furbies are outdoorsy kinda gals, so let's make a pact NOT to talk about yucky bugs for the rest of the day??!

And Tillie and Shelby....how could you possibly LOVE the act of flying?!??!?! On both of our recent flights to and from California, people were throwing up into bags!!!!WHAT, PREY TELL, IS FUN ABOUT THAT??!??!?! At one point, my husband litterally pushed my head to the side and yelled "don't look"!!!! GAAAAWWWDD, I HATE AIR TRAVEL...IT'S JUST A BLOODY BUS IN THE AIR, ONLY YOU GET LESS LEG ROOM, YOU'RE TRAPPED, AND IT MOVES AROUND TOO MUCH!:nuts::nuts:

OH MY GOD, those things FLY?? I had no idea! Note to self - stay away from Florida and Atlanta so as to avoid f)(*&ing flying bugs!

Oh, yes, they fly very well, shelby, and I think they're in just about every state south of Washington, DC.

Just you wait, they'll make there way out to Chi Town. I'm sure they'd love to live around the lake - maybe not in winter, though (don't understand how anything lives in Chicago in winter - cooooold.)

Lily, it was so foggy here today I couldn't even see the space needle. It ended halfway into fog. Could you send us some sun? :p

Or I'll just put out a trail of truffles and you could come visit. The car said it was 53 on the way in :p

Well, I would be happy to, pugsie, but all I seem to have to offer today are clouds, smog, wretched humidity and . . . hellfire heat. Believe me, you do not want any of it :sweatdrop:.

Satan and the hounds of hell wouldn't want what we have.
