Ok, I went into the store yesterday, and for some reason the associates weren't able to pull up my order, so had to call JAX; and now JAX is telling me that all of the baseman items are excluded, and wouldn't do a price adjustment. They even tried to say that this is outside of the PCE period anyway; when I told them as a matter of fact the date I ordered these, and the hassle I was put through, they went back to the limited edition= no adjustment thing. Waiting to hear back from my SA, but if that's what Coach will stick to, then I'll return the whole set of hangtags.

I do like these items; yet with the company's inconsistent policies, those are going back, even if just out of principle. Can't stand it when Coach doesn't deliver what's promised-after one wasted trip to the mall, and lots of money spent on this past PCE (in the four digits), they won't do a $30 price adjustment. Depending on how this case is handled, it may mean losing a loyal customer...

I ordered middle of last week and was able to use the coupon. My daughter tried to order on Friday they told her she couldn't use it. So she waited and called on Saturday and they took the coupon.
Jax did call her back on Saturday and said that the baseman is excluded from the discount, but they honored the order since it already was placed.
I called Sunday to see if the coupon could be used and the Rep I got said no that all the baseman was excluded.
When the Snoopy came out my SA said that there are no discounts on limited edition lines, and that the sales associates couldn't even get a discount on them until they went to clearance.
Of coarse this is Coach and they are so inconsistent...
Mine hasn't shipped yet. I'm getting concerned and impatient. I placed the order on Thursday. I hope they honor the discount since my SA called me back to tell me I could use it.

I think if the discount is already taken off, they'd have to honor that. In my case, it was very irritating because the promotion wasn't done immediately; I knew something like this would happen with the price adjustment. And why I'd have to make an extra trip to do it in person is beyond me, first of all. But anyway, since it's Coach we're talking about...

My SA called back, and asked me to go into the store again-so I totally wasted a trip yesterday, but let's hope she can get it figured out at least. This company must be thinking I'm a total beggar, to put myself through as much trouble for $30!

I just got my shipping confirmation and it shows the discount. I hope you get your discount. It is the principle that's important. If you were told you'd get the discount, even if the SA was wrong, they need to honor it.

Glad to hear you got yours! But yes, I'd have been fine if they've just been inconsistent (i.e., discounting it for others and not for some), but since I was told that I should get it, then that's what I would necessarily expect. And should they make no compensation for my wasted trips, then I'll return my order and start cutting back. Hope my SA can resolve it...This whole business is becoming more of a pain than it's worth.

No. You are a good, important customer as everyone who walks in the store is. It is so short-sighted for them to haggle over $30!!! They can't afford to lose customers right now.

Thank you! I didn't see what the issue was-purchased a set of bookmarks in the same order, and when I called JAX I asked specifically for a PA for the hangtags only. Why would I be lying about that, if I really wanted a discount? I could have asked them to take off the difference for the whole order.

Wonder if Coach is hoping I'd give up, if they make enough hassle for me-this business is really ridiculous. Here I just spent over four figures with them over the last PCE, and they're doing a tug-of-war with me for $30?

I was interested in the stone Nomad as well, not to mention checking out the saddle; however, given this fiasco I refuse to spend any more money with them, until they sort it out satisfactorily. Otherwise, I'll either turn to another brand altogether, or get their bags from department stores. Fingers crossed...

They told me the bookmarks couldn't even be pre-ordered.

Good luck. They have more to lose by refusing to give the discount, especially since others were able to get it.

I can't blame you. As I said, so short-sighted. It shouldn't matter how much anyone spends, but I would be furious too if I had just spent that much and Coach was that inconsistent with their policies:wacko:.

Thank you! I believe customers should be valued, even if they buy only one $20 hangtag, but I just can't understand how they'd be so adamant for $30. If I had spent that much, I'm not into the PA for money! It'd be great if Coach can unify their policies, and re-train some of their staffs. It's disappointing too, since the store I normally shop at changed their SA's completely over the last two years. Wonder if all luxury stores have such fast turnover rates...

But with all this fiasco with Coach, I just turned around and ordered a wallet from LV! Something else to keep me busy haha ;) It'll be my first LV piece and I'm excited to see it!
