The shine gives it a more sophisticated look with this design. Others have mentioned that without the shine it looks more like a drawing.

I get what your are saying about the colour white. Enjoy.I didn't mind the feel of the patent on this line of bags. LV has made huge improvements over time. Its not like the old vernis Alma or Brea bags. My GF bought a Mirroir Alma 2 years ago and it is one tough cookie of a bag. So even though I do have some trepidation about patent leather - or maybe it is also because of its colour (white) - I jumped right in anyway.

The Cannes, has been a little more difficult to track down. More so than the Boite and Alma, The luggage tag I was able to obtain as well. However, the Cannes, haven't even seen it in person, yet.

Oh geez, I ordered the alma, the SA told me is prettier in person, it looks stunning to me. I am tired of same old boring bags, I hope I love it, getting pickier and pickier…. LolThank you saban. It’s gorgeous, but part of the fun for me with nice bags is the feel of the leather too. However, it is so stunning from a distance. And the black leather smells so good and feels so nice. The shape and size are perfect for what I wanted. I know I can get a mono WT with black leather and red interior, but I love the architectural print - going back and forth now. LV LV LV. Why must they do these things to us- like anyone forced me to buy - definitely not a major problem amd I can return worst case. Thanks everyone. I’m in the shallow obsessing stage. Oh and thanks for the scarf compliment - this scarf is gorgeous alone but LV and black and monogram really go well with it.

Unfortunately it was white patent leather, and I just prefer a real leather feel to my bags, personal preference of course. It smells luscious, and I’m with you, it’s just so different and I have nothing like it in my collection and I love architecture so good fit there.
So I think it’s a keeper after all my back and forth. I will say it’s a very lightweight bag even with my things in it so that’s a plus, and it’s essentially waterproof. And I can’t believe how much this small bag carries!! That may create a different problem - want another alma bb now

No problem. I'm actually wondering if its available anymore. You can't find it on the American LV as sold out. It was there before. Not anymore. Yikes!
I got both alma and petit sac plat. I was surprised to realize that alma has plastic like texture to it but it is very well made. On the other hand, petit sac plat has matte leather texture, but workmanship is very poor. The handles are crooked and hardware’s LV logo is also crooked…I will have to return petit sac plat. Did anyone see a scarf in store yet?
Haven’t seen the scarves, by the time I got to the local boutique, nothing was left. SA said everything sold within half an hour. I ordered the Alma and she showed only 13 left in inventory. Insanity. Yo do have to inspect everything super careful because the quality is now hit or miss. I had to return an OTG PM bicolor because it was so misaligned it looked fake. Then they tried telling me… well every bag is unique…. Lol. Not swallowing that pill! For the prices, better be perfect!!
