That's so strange as I swear the Alma, petit sac plat etc building design part of the bag are all matte leather , not patent. I had a good look in store on Friday, it seemed very soft leather.

I have ordered the petit sac plat online, but seeing it in store unfortunately it is having to go back as it is TINY. Even with a small Samsung phone it still sticks up out of the top.
So I now ordered the Alma BB which has the same print but actually fits my phone and my tablet in with no issue. I would really love the OTG but just cannot stomach the price on that one (almost £1000 more than the Alma).

The bag is not matte. Only the trim is matte black. The rest of the bag is in fact shiny.

I know - my photos from my SA and online, the Alma for sure looks matte. Glad it wasn’t patent when you saw it. I too thought about the petit sac, but based on size and the fact that online it’s described as patent made it a not. I wouldn't be at all surprised if LV made the bags both ways. Well, guess we will see what it is when it arrives. I was surprised how much I liked the photos of this print when it dropped, it’s beautiful, but it was an impulse buy and as such have no issues returning if it is patent and I don’t prefer it. Good luck with your Alma! I can’t wait to get mine and solve the mystery :P

Wow really? I’m reluctant with patent due to color transfer. I’ve had a beige patent pouch ruined by black stains. But perhaps patent will be tougher against rain and water stains. Is the patent very thin? It didn’t look shiny at all in pics.

I know, right? My SA pic shows the white as looking way more matte than the black calfskin on the bottom. Mine is supposed to arrive Tuesday by 10:30. Hope all my dithering :shocked: is for nothing and I love it whatever they call it! Truly think this is a very sharp looking bag.

I hope you’ll love it! :smile: It can’t be very glossy patent anyway, as it looks so matte. :amuse:

You are so right. I just don’t prefer the hand of patent, but it can’t be the mirror like shiny patent given all the photos. Thanks! It’s so exciting to get a new bag, but until it’s in hand we just don’t know. :flowers:
