Is the interior fabric as it appears on photo, or is it mono canvas ? Either way, congrats on the new bb !!

It is bonded microfibre with LV logo. Feels like cotton to touch.
Thanks. It is fabric. The outside is calfskin, but it feels like vinyl. They put a shiny coating on it.
Oh, the website said the Alma bb is matte calfskin. I specifically wanted that. Wonder if it’s just protective but not patent. Hopefully it will still be nice.
You are right- it says matte calfskin online. The one I saw in store was patent. Lets see when you get it.
Correct. They are referring to the black trim and key clochette. Its matte black calfskin. the upper part of the bag is not matte as its glazed design
Based on the photos I see on Instagram, I do think the alma is patent. The website seems to be off on some of the listings - it incorrectly says the alma is matte, and for the Noe, it says it comes with a leather name tag (which it showed in the fashion show, but doesn’t seem to have made it into final production).
My SA was able to get me the Fornasetti luggage tag and it just arrived today. I was surprised to see that it was patent! It doesn’t mention it on the website listing, but it doesn’t bother me since its a small item.
Thanks for the info. It’s really frustrating not to be near a boutique to see first, and if it is patent leather it is going straight back. I have a vernis felicie which I love, but it is small and it costs much less. I don’t want an Alma in patent, LE or not. I’ve been really frustrated with LV on multiple levels, not sure why it is so hard for them to accurately portray an item on the website. I think it’s a beautiful bag in photos and it doesn’t read as patent - hopefully it won’t be as bad as I imagine and I will be happy to keep it. Good grief. I will receive an Alma soon…Based on the photos SA sent me it didn’t look like it’s patent leather, but I‘m not sure. I hope it’s matte.
Picked mine up the other day and the main body is indeed patent. Both my CA and I were surprised. But I ended up really loving it and love that the coating gives the design extra protection.
