More on LVMH's influence on Tiffany...
Now that I'm seeing more of LVMH's theme, my guess is Tiffany will also have these special capsule collections designed by up and rising young designers. This will be a way to create new and ongoing demand with these new "designer" pieces. Just a guess of course.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z to Represent Tiffany's As It Woos Younger Shoppers (businessinsider.com)
Ok- so I’m still confused! What age group is the “Not Your Mother’s” for? Jay Z (51) and Beyoncé (39) are not that young.

Well, not sure if anyone mentioned this yet... Just took a look at the site. They have new collection coming soon called "Tiffany Knot". Preview didn't contain any silver. What the house is famous for?

I just saw the pictures- I feel like it’s trying to be the Tiffany equivalent of Cartier’s JUC line? I don’t dislike that concept necessarily- it looks modern and fluid, and appears to be substantial as opposed to dainty. I look forward to having a chance to check it out in stores when released.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the preview, that I would love the bracelet but it's too similar to my JUC. I do like the pieces however. They look like more substantial versions of Tiffany's previous Infinity and Bow lines. I had considered the bracelets in those collections also but felt they weren't as secure since they were cuffs. The knot bracelets seem to be hinged bangles

Exactly! I liked the bow lines, very pretty but they seemed too thin and problematic as cuffs. It’s so funny, my husband wanted to buy me the JUC but I was not 100% sure so I was mulling it over- I saw this release and now I want to compare when they are released!

Please post pics when you do! The knot seems just a bit more feminine than the JUC but still a bit of a modern edge. Am quite excited for the collection.

Info from my SA - there will be more limited collections going forward. They will be hard to get your hands on with limited pieces being produced. This is the same strategy as what LV is doing over there with their bags. it will begin with the knot collection. to be honest, this business model pisses me off. It stresses the buyer to buy as soon as you see it, otherwise deal with FOMO. I hate that. i prefer to walk in and try the pieces and think about it leisurel. When I’m ready, I want to be able to get what I want without dealing with wait lists and stalking etc. shopping shouldn’t be stressful. It turns me off the brand and that is why I don’t actively buy LV anymore.

For sure it encourages very "fast fashion" and hyper consumption mindset. I'm not a fan either.

Ugh how annoying, that is my major turn off with LV. I just want to be able to shop on my own timeline and know that items will be around without being discontinued for a while.
