If it was another easy to find color It would have gone back without questions...but it's white :( White is so hard to find, this is my second white fur from ebay that is busted! The first one a few years ago was infested with bugs.
I won't alter it until I see what NM says, if it's an easy repair and the coat has some life left to it then I will keep it. But I want some money back if that is the case. I won't be able to get to NM until next week.

OMG! Ewww on the bugs! Don’t forget to get a cleaning quote as well as the repair.

I’m so sorry you’re disappointed for a second time. It looked so beautiful!

Yep bugs, and the fur was falling out in clumps!
The fur looks good on this one, unless there is something I did not spot. Yes I will have it cleaned as well, hopefully it can be saved!

One thing about Ebay, if you receive a refund any negative you have left automatically is removed. I just left a neg last week for a seller, they refunded me and ebay removed the negative.
So even if you see 100% feedback god knows how many negatives were removed by ebay.

My white fox just came, some dirt spots which I asked the seller before I bought and he said and I quote "There is nothing wrong with this coat, it is just the camera angle"
So he lied about that, second while inspecting it within seconds I see a gaping hole in the amrpit!! This is why I try and stay away from ebay. I was fighting a claim just last week (for a telephone not fur) seller said new and it came used and broken lol.

Look at this thing, a gorgeous coat down the drain!

Ebay has more liars than i've seen in my life time
It's true, why do adults lie? and so many of them too!
The seller is deeply upset, and says it was her furriers fault and nothing like this ever happened, yeah right!
She said I can return it or send it to her for repair, I told her I want to take it to Neiman Marcus and see what they say and if it's repairable and if there are other issues that I did not find.
I don't trust her repairs, if you know what i mean.
It's gorgeous otherwise, it's so full and snuggly
Do you think it can be repaired? how much does something like this cost? I have no clue
Here it is, isn't it dreamy? I can't let it go but I want some kind of reimbursement. It was 1,800 dollars!

Oh, this is terrible. I agree with @restricter that this can be returned as SNAD. $1,800 is a lot to pay for a dirty coat with holes. I don't understand how a seller can send out something that cost that much in that kind of condition!!!:cursing: I am so sorry this has happened to you, especially for a second time. :frown:

I don't know how much cleaning costs are in NY but it's around $50 or so here depending on where you go. I have no idea how much it would cost to repair it as I've never had to have one repaired. To have a fur reworked/restyled is expensive. If you want to try & keep it, I would inspect every inch of the coat, stress points, seams, ect, to see if there is more damage. Didn't the seller list the coat as new? This is not a new coat. Once you've taken it to a furrier & find out the costs to clean & repair any damage, you can weigh the costs along with the price of the coat to decide if you want to keep it or not. It may not be repairable. I know solid white is hard to find, but personally, I would open a SNAD case so I wouldn't have to pay return shipping. But you know how much you love the coat & it's your decision on what to do. If you decide the coat is still worth it with the added costs, I would demand a substantial partial refund. $1,800 is too much to pay for a damaged, dirty coat & totally unacceptable.

BB on the ebay forum can help you if you decide to dispute the transaction. If there has been any contact & conversations between you & the seller, be sure to save it.
Please keep us informed on what you decide to do.:hugs:

A full refund I can get, I'm looking to keep it and get a partial refund. She said 200, I want 400, if of course the coat is salvageable.
If not I told her it has to go back for a full refund.
She's complaining that it was a consignment piece from an Iranian client who is very difficult. It is not my problem and they should have checked the coat over more thoroughly since they claim to be furriers. I am not a furrier and I found the hole within seconds.
Hopefully I can get 400 back. I will keep you posted

P.S I did another look over and found no other issues that I can see. The seems look good, some dryness at the bottom skins but not too bad. It needs a cleaning for sure.

I'm glad you didn't find any more holes but would still see what the furrier says.

Her difficult client is her problem. Too bad, So sad, Cry me a river! You do not have to accommodate her! She should have inspected & cleaned the coat upon taking it in from the owner & listing it for sale. $200 is not enough compensation for a damaged coat. Total BS & sounds like the seller is making excuses instead of taking responsibility for being negligent in not inspecting the coat. :nono: Even if she agrees to a $400 refund, you're still paying for $1,400 for a dirty, damaged coat. I would be concerned about the dryness of the pelts at the bottom, too. Makes me wonder how well the coat has been taken care of. I think you should get more of a partial refund than $2-400. This coat may wind up being more trouble than it's worth.

Repairing a split seam is not difficult, but furriers inflate their prices for repairs. Many tailors can repair a split seam for a lot less than a furrier will charge. If a white fox coat is a hard to find item, it may be worth your while to get this coat cleaned and repaired, as long as the coat is otherwise in good condition.

However, the eBay seller definitely needs to reimburse you for the cost to have this done, and the inconvenience this has caused you!

I've been talking to her and the more I talk to her the more wacko she's becoming. She's a loon, I may not get anything back. I will take it to NM Monday, hopefully it can be repaired as I'm in love with it :(
If they can bring it back to it's former glory then it may be worth a few extra bucks.

It's the perfect coat, exactly what I was looking for, white, thick, and with the big notched collar, I'm a sucker for large collars.
I won't find another. I have been looking for a few years, furriers rarely carry white fox and when they do they don't even have a collar! You know those modern styles lol
This was once a very high quality expensive coat, there is no denying that. The seller is a nut, I may be on my own with this.
If it's not repairable then I will do an ebay claim/charge back.

@KittieKelly the white coat is GORGEOUS! I hate that you’re having so many issues with it. The seller should have disclosed the hole to you. Worse case scenario you can do the chargeback through your cc company then force the seller to give you at least the $400 off or whatever the repair and cleaning charge will be at the very least!

That’s why it always helps to use Toolhaus to check for potential problems. I did a search on your seller and here’s what came up: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=Yourpersonalshopper619&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home

I saw all her feedback before I made the purchase and nothing was bad for fur coats, it was all other junk. I even asked a question prior and they said there was nothing wrong with the coat. They either didn't see it (it was well hidden in the fur) or they are lying.
I found the furrier it came from Millard's furs in California. And the furrier is not the ebay seller, she has this other lady sell her furs on ebay for her. So it went through too many hands I guess.
They want me to send the coat back to Millard's so they can fix it, I said no, I'm not sending the coat back to the scene of the crime! lol
If it's fixable I will be happy, if it's a worthless piece of crap then I will cry...while I'm doing a charge back, I really do love it :(

Hopefully it's at least fixable, my fear is the worst.

Are you feeling better with your illness?

Yes it's gorgeous, thick like fat cotton balls. Pray for me!
