Thanks! The colour is perfect, really just as I had imagined and hoped it would look!GORGEOUS bag! I love love love the color. I cannot believe your magnet was scratched...that doesn't seem right. Did you reach out to them? I would for SURE. I mean, 100000% for sure. That makes no sense. Other than that, it's such perfect bag! Congrats!
Wow, what a beautiful bag! I love the metal stud detail that you can see from the back of the bag in particular.
Thanks for sharing so many photos of it. It's really nice to see some close ups and mod shots.
Thanks so much for letting me know about your phone size too! That's a big phone, I can see why it wouldn't fit the mini Magnolia. Sounds like I should be fine with my regular sized iPhone 13 pro.
Haha, no worries! I did think that was a pretty hefty phoneSorry I made a mistake about the measurements. My phone is 15,9cm. I thought it would fit because on the website, the mini magnolia is 19cm but it didn't because of the slightly round edges.
The real issue is that the leather has very poor skiving. But at the price point, they need to cut certain corners to achieve an otherwise very premium looking bag at a “reasonable” price.Just thought I’d post an update after using the Mini Swann bag for a day:
It really is a perfect everyday size for me and I love how easy it’s to use.
My one concern is that this bit (the underside close to the clasp ring) of the strap is already peeling off. I’m guessing it’s a very thin piece of leather glued over the top?

the other end is also peeling:

I feel like making this a continuous strap rather than folding it over makes it look nice and streamlined but I do wonder if that has been at the expensive of the durability of the strap.
Those of you who have the other bags, do you see the same issue at all?
Other than that I haven’t seen any problems so far (which is good as it’s just day 1!)

Skiving being the skill tied to thinning the ends of leather so that two pieces can be joined nearly seamlessly. (High level skill when pushed to the limit)
Here’s how a seamless strap can be made if no corners are cut.
It's just a different method and appearance. I prefer the appearance of the skived foldover where the top layer of the backside is lifted and encloses the end of the leather strap, which is the way that Fleuron has done it. It simply needed a tiny bit more glue to seal the edge and you likely would never have noticed.Thank you so much for your response! It’s great how often I learn something new on this forum! I didn’t know the term is called skiving. (Total novice stupid question here but: ) isn’t it still prone to peeling at that attachment point no matter how well it’s done?
I complete agree that on the Fleuron bag they had to cut corners somewhere but I feel like it might have been better to do something like this below (which is what I meant when I said folding the leather over) which I have on my Mulberry Small Amberley Satchel:

Yes, I also agree that the skived strap has a nicer, more streamlined look. But my thought was that given the cheaper price point and hence the quality of workmanship they have at hand, it might have been a better design choice for Fleuron to go for a different finish. In any case, their clever design means this portion of the strap is conveniently hidden when the bag is closed so thumbs up for thatIt's just a different method and appearance. However that's the difference between a 500 euro bag and a 5000 euro bag, which is what is being shown in the instagram video.

Good idea, I have reached out to them (they are probably sick of hearing from me by now but hey ho!No such thing as a stupid question.
I would reach out to their customer service as this shouldn’t have happened so quickly. ( just needs a bit more glue, they might have simply put enough or didn’t let it dry long enough)
Finicky customer, that sounds like me+1
With a tiny bit more glue, no one would have noticed but the most finicky of customers.
