Fleuron Paris - does anyone know anything about it?

Good idea, I have reached out to them (they are probably sick of hearing from me by now but hey ho!)
At the current price tag, I don’t expect to see the same quality issues you are facing like scratched up button and strap leather peeling off after 1 use. It seems that the strap could have better designed.

Thank you for sharing with us!

Yes, I hope that these are just teething issues / I’ve just been particularly unlucky - I’d be really curious to hear whether @TraceySH who bought a number of their bags now has seen any of the issues I’ve had so far?

Here’s the response I got from Fleuron regarding the skiving:

This part of the leather is trimmed (of skived) to te finest and glued for the seamless experience on the strap.
It may lift a little over time but in your case, after one day of use, I think it was just not glued correctly at the atelier and we are sorry we didn’t noticed this when checking your bag before sending it to you. It’s indeed bak luck because it’s not something that was signaled to us before..

To correct this issue, you may put a little white glue or wood glue at both ends, wait for 2mn and fold the trimmed leather.

We are very sorry for not providing a perfect experience with your bag, and we will add more check points on our next orders thanks to your feedback.

It was a bit strange to be told to glue it back down myself :whut: but glad they seem to be taking feedback on board. We shall see how things go moving forward!

I’ve managed to do a pretty neat job of gluing both the peeling flaps down but we shall see how long this lasts…

Hope that works out well. Do keep us updated.

I’m a bit hesitant about ordering their bags because I don’t want to deal these maintenance myself.

By the way, there is a 5% discount code (THEBAGHAG) available currently.

Hi! I am horrible about inspecting things...I will go and see if I see anything but certainly nothing obvious??

Just got the black vegetable tanned leather a couple of days ago it's gorgeous!!

Absolutely beautiful! I really love how you have been decorating your Swann bags with twillys, it really does elevate it. (and protects the handles, win win!)
