I think they are so cute but I was afraid they would look like I'd pulled them out of my closet from the early 90's! But seems like they've made a comeback! I'll have to try to find some black ones on sale....pls. post if you find them on sale again! :)

^They came to $307.90 before tax, so not a great sale, but okay. :smile1: I have been looking for that color (strawberry) forever it seems, so if the order goes through, I'll be so happy! :girlsigh: They will be my second pair of Varinas (my first pair I got for so, so, soooo cheap, so I really can't use that lucky find as a benchmark), yay! :smile1:

I just bought a pair of Varinas yesterday from the new Off Fifth that opened near here. I had to size up because of the narrowness of the B. They're blood patent and I got them for $130 after coupons. I was thrilled! They even had their box and 1 dustbag.

:heart: varinas. They go well with skirts and jeans. I'm totally addicted ever since getting a pair of black patent ones on sale 2 years ago. Now I have a small (and growing) collection. Saks have a few seasonal colors on sale each year, but I don't think they mark the classic colors on sale anymore.

They had patent leather maroon and patent orange in a 7. It is a brand new store in Washington PA at Tanger. The sku is 493551081534.

How comfortable are the patent compared to the regular ones? I want to get one, but I'm struggling between patent and kid leather. Do the regular leather ones stretch a lot? And do the patent ones rub?

Oh I'm so torn! I have a 10% off coupon for Saks and they have the red patent Varinas in my size...but I was hoping for a better deal (anything is better than Canada-they're $440 here before the 12% tax-at least at Saks I'll get them for around $350 no tax). But when I called the outlet to see if they had any in stock, they said red was last fall-does that mean it's a seasonal color? I'm wondering if I should wait it out or snap them up while I can. I don't really need them right now, but I would really like to get them my summer.

I only have 1 pair of flats right now that fit my orthotics (a pair of Bal flats, so not very dressy) and they actually fit inside the Varinas really well!

I think they have different shades of red for each season. I also live in Canada and wanted to order the red ones but via the czech ferragamo site since it would be WAY cheaper and they had a pair of red patent as part of their winter sale. I would say go for it. If it is the one you want dont miss out! Especially since you have a coupon!!
