I got mine from the local H boutique. I haven’t shopped with the real real personally and I have heard mixed reviews about them, especially around some of the item not being authenticated which is terrible. Personally I think it’s a good idea to get a second opinion on the authenticity just to be sure since the bag is quite pricey. If it’s real, great and you’ll sleep better at night; if not, then you can dispute with them and get your money back. I’m still fairly new to Hermes myself, you might find the Hermes forum section helpful too, as the ladies over there are a lot more knowledgeable than I am
Thank you!
Was it terribly hard to get it at the boutique ? I can put my name down no rush.

I think in general still hard to come by similar to pre-pandemic though I got extremely lucky and scored one with not too much purchase history. Secondary market is still the way to go if you are looking for a specific color size combo and don’t want to spend the time and money to create a purchase history and relationship with the SA/boutique

Thanks! Structure is pretty bad. That’s what it looks like stuffed! But I’m going to get an insert. Also got the Chanel medium new and fendi preloved coming. Told hubby I’m just having a mid life crisis. Cheaper than divorce.
Oh my what a great haul, we must have similar taste because I’ve got a medium flap as well. My bag collection is quite small and I try to only buy “classics”. I brainwash my husband that these are better than buying stocks, but I like your divorce argument and will use it next time to switch things up haha!

As the owner of a Kelly can I ask if u bought preloved? I bought mine on real real but now am worried that real real doesn’t authenticate properly for Hermes. What are your thoughts?

Since you already own the bag, I don't think that the H authentication threads will help. But please contact our resident expert, Bababebi.com. For a small fee she will look at your bag.

I see you already consulted her -- great new bag.

I love the peekaboo. I will have to check the resale market, as IMHO, the prices are high, especially if it doesn't command good resale prices. I've had my eye on two of them for a while, but just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. I think it can be both elegant (as most handheld bags) and casual, depending on the style. I also noted that F is selling a "lighter" version -- does anyone have one?

I am also looking at the preloved market for peekaboo, I love the style, so unique. But I don't know. Here are my thoughts from reviews I've read:

1. It's heavy because of metal piece in middle.
2. It won't stand on its own, because metal piece in middle will make bag flop to one side.
3. Sometimes the sides won't slouch down making the peekaboo effect.
4. I'm also thinking about the Loewe puzzle bag which also has a unique style.

Those of you who have the peekaboo, how do you like it? Has the things I mentioned above bothered you.

I am seriously considering a Peekaboo and have been watching a ton of YouTube reviews. Only one person mentioned how loud the hardware knocking against each other can be. Once I saw her comment, I couldn’t unhear the sounds in all the other videos (it’s very noticeable whenever reviewers stand up for modelling shots). It’s a bummer because I really like this bag otherwise.

Agreed on #1 and 3. Mine still doesn’t slouch enough to have the peekaboo effect, but at the same time it stands on its own. I think 2 and 3 might be mutually exclusive problems.

Aaaah, I see. If I can find one preloved with good price, maybe I will give it a try. I don't think I want to experiment on new one given the price.

I just sold my puzzle. It’s a beautiful bag and unique but I felt a bit less elegant and mature than the peekaboo. I’m trying to revamp my style a bit and the puzzle to me is more of a 20s-30s bag and I’m in my 40s now. You can’t beat Loewe leather though. Such high quality.

Which bags do you have? I just sold off so many - Lv evora- puzzle- mabillion- Pandora. I still have another pandora large in calf and a Celine trio, Dior saddle (got it before the craze!), ysl emmanuelle fringe and Gucci Marmont. But I’m not sure all these are necessary! I live in Cali and pandemic fashion is not happening. It’s like you blink and you have 100 bags! I don’t know how the youtubers do it.

Besides the 3 mentioned earlier, I have the Chanel WOC and medium Gabrielle medium, a Loewe small Gate, a really old Gucci soho Disco and my very first luxury bag the Balenciaga medium City. Def a small collection compared to those youtubers like you said. I try to stick to 1-2 bags a year rule so that I force myself to research and shop mindfully. So far I’m happy with all of the bags except the medium Gabrielle :(
