Feeling Sad... Hangtag Fell Off Rogue

Geez, it almost happened to me, too! I had taken the precaution of using a needle-nosed pliers to gently tighten the ball-chain attachments on my denim rogue (hangtag and charm), but this morning when I picked the bag up to head out the door I heard something fall - and was shocked to see the hangtag on the floor! The chain was still looped over the hardware - it had just opened and dropped off.

I got lucky this time but I will have to add a security measure to try and avoid a repeat. I wonder if rogues are more prone to this because the hangtags are thicker and heavier? Although I have lost smaller and lighter hangtags in the past!

I'm glad it happened in your home and not out and about like when mine fell off. I now make sure that my hang tag on my black rogue is flipped inside the pocket so that it will fall inside if it does come undone, though I guess that defeats the whole point of having it on the bag since it can't be seen lol

Or glue it closed. You're likely not to want to take the hang tag off and put it on another bag.
That's what I do, super glue. If you ever need to take it off, you can cut the ball chain and use another one ball chain which are fairly easy to get. I also use regular glue for those I think I will need to take off. The regular glue still gives me the option to take it off, just makes it harder to do so but it comes off.

I use gel super glue which I apply with a toothpick. You just need a tiny drop into the ball chain chamber. I also use this tiny drop of glue to keep the links close for those key fobs like the Space Rexy so I don't lose him if the link opens up and he escapes!

I think that I've figured out why my hangtag suddenly dropped off on Monday morning. On Sunday I carried my Denim and Gold Rogue with me to the Coach outlet. Several of the SAs were interested in the bag, and one of them was excited because she has same bag on order. There were several questions about the Coach Starfish pendant that I have been using as a bag charm and a few SAs examined it closely. I think that during all this attention the chain for the hangtag may have gotten snagged or tangled with the charm or the keyhood and that lead to nearly losing it!

Don't know that for sure, but now I have had a scare and I need to do something soon to prevent another mishap!

Highly unrelated, but I am LOVING the slouch your Rogue has. How long have you had it?

And do they get softer?

If I may add, my Rogue has gotten softer and slouchier almost immediately, I am attributing that to the rivets, its most likely making it heavier. But, when I tried on the Steel Blue one at the store, that one was getting nice and smooshy being the floor model, so it shouldn't take too long for them to slouch nicely.

To the OP- Anytime you get a chance to go into a Coach store, ask if they have hangtags that might match. The stores by me have a bucket of them they keep and literally let me roam through it to find ones that match if I ever lose one or if I buy second hand and it never came to me with one.

I don't suppose you live in Victoria, BC? I just saw this thread. About 2 weeks ago after coming from the Coach store in Mayfair Mall, I found a black hang tag for a rouge, laying in the parking lot. It had been monogramed with 3 initials - sorry can't remember what they were.
I took it to the store and left it. I thought maybe they'd be able to find the owner, but they said they had no way to track who it belonged to. I left it with them, hoping maybe the owner might go back to the store.
After that, I went home and checked and tighten all my hangtags.

I am so worried now that I read this topic. I have a Rogue 17 in red and I have the hangtag tucked inside the bag and so far, so good. It hasn’t dropped into the bottom of the bag yet.

I have the tag monogrammed with a gold skull and I would be so upset if I lost it. Crossing fingers it stays intact and doesn’t sprout legs and run off without warning. Need to make sure the chains are tight enough so this never happens to me.

I don't, I live in NY! Thanks for thinking to post here, though

I was at an all-day work function yesterday when I noticed that the hang tag was missing off of my Rogue! I checked the surrounding area to see if it had fallen off there, with no luck. I figured maybe it had fallen off in my or my husband's car, but I checked both of them with no luck. I usually keep my purse in the same couple of spots around the house, and those were all clear, too. My last hope was that it had fallen off in my office, which I returned to this morning, but it's nowhere to be found.

I'm feeling kinda bummed! I don't know if I can contact Coach about a replacement because I bought the bag new without a receipt on Ebay. I noticed that this happened with my other Rogue, but fortunately my husband was walking behind me and saw it happen, so he caught it and let me know. I guess I'm just unlucky! Posting here because I know no one else would care, except my husband, who said he'd keep an eye out. She looks a little naked to me now *sigh*
Just wanted to let you know there's beige 1941 tag on eBay right now for 6$. They're calling it a "coach 1941 bag replacement charm Dinky tan" if you want to search. Maybe it would match your rogue?
