I have a few favorite combos I travel with and my purse choice is very much dictated by what I use to transport my clothes etc.
1) A CabinMax backpack (carry-on size) and a handheld bag, like LC LP MSH
- I like this better if the weather's crazy and there's a lot of snow, or I have to take my workout stuff with me. Ever tried to drag a piece of luggage behind you through 15 cm of wet snow? Over about a kilometer distance? It stops being funny very fast.
2) LC LP XL custom or Lumi Supermarket XXL
- For 1-3 night trips with minimum wardrobe change. An evening bag/small crossbody will surely be with me if there's a need.
3) Carry-on luggage plus a Pacsafe backpack/LC LP L/LC LPC Crossbody
- 1-7 nights, sightseeing, tickets and border control to deal with etc. Pacsafe for places where there might be pickpockets etc.
4) Small Nike workout bag and a crossbody or messenger, most likely LC LPC Crossbody or Kipling M Amiel
- 1-2 nights with border control and tickets to show
Most of the time, I also have an extra bag in with me. Most often it's a LC LPC Medium, LC LPC Crossbody, Kipling M Amiel or LRL WOC, it depends what I'm going to be doing on my trip. I want something that folds up really small to save space.
