I really like the suede Rogue...a lot. Those of you who don't have another Rogue to decide between will love it IMO. If I didn't already have a saddle color saddle bag 35 that I recently started carrying often and love, there wouldn't even be a question. I'm just not sure I need two bags in this color, but it is a color that can go with anything and they are two completely different bags. I love that the inside is leather. The suede is very smooth...just like in the picture. It seems almost as structured as the pebbled leather Rogue, well, maybe not quite as structured, but it does still hold it's shape. I do like that the oxblood Rogue has the black trim. I love that the suede Rogue is trimmed in leather and that all of the handles, the bottom of the bag, and the inside are all leather I'm almost certain I'm keeping this one and sending back the oxblood.
The suede wins my vote, hands down. It's just so different and unique and even more so with the leather interior. Coach makes a lot of bags in oxblood pebble leather, but the suede is a rare find.

Ugh.....2nd oxblood rogue came today and only 3 of the 4 dogleash clips work and the bottom feet are all scratched up even though it came from JAX. The feet on my 1st rogue are perfect but only 1 of the 4 dogleash clips work right. I'm not sure which one to keep and which one to return, the leather on both is fantastic.

I doubt I'll use anything on the suede Rogue. The care instructions provided with the purse are the generic ones, stating to use the Coach moisturizer and cleaner, but on Coach.com it clearly states: Please DO NOT use Coach Leather Moisturizer on Glovetanned Leather, Calf Suede or Haircalf. I called Coach and asked what they suggested, and the rep put me on hold to check and stated that I can't use anything with water in it on the suede or it will get damaged. She said just wipe the bag off with a dry cloth or use a suede brush. I have a really nice suede brush that I'm going to use and that will probably be it.

Wow. I had no idea that you weren't supposed to use the coach moisturizer on glove tanned leather. I just bought some and was planning to use it on my rogue and my nomad. I've used apple moisturizer on my nomad before and it worked great. I would have been devastated if I messed up my bag. So, can it be used on the rogue since it's pebbled glove tanned leather?

It was like that on my oxblood, but now three of the four are working. I think they were just stiff. If you open them with your fingernail and do that a few times and then try to open it the next day with the lever it may work. Three of them are working fine now. I'm sure the other one will work in a day or two.

That confuses me also because it can be used on pebble leather, but since the pebbled leather is glovetanned I'm not sure. Maybe your SA can advise you, if you have one. I don't have an SA, so I always end up calling JAX. I didn't even think to ask them about the glovetanned pebbled leather because I was so focused on the suede.

I keep looking at them, and I've definitely decided that I'm not keeping both. I'm sure it will be the suede. For some odd reason, the suede Rogue looks small to me, which I don't mind at all. But one of my first thoughts when I pulled it out the bag was wow it's small, and I didn't think that with the oxblood. Maybe it's the color. But again, I don't mind that at all as I know they're both the same size and will hold the same amount.

Yeah, I kinda felt like that when I got my Rogue today (which happened to be oxblood); that it seemed bigger in the store. I fear really wanting the large size when it comes out.

I like large bags, but I can do medium sized bags as well. Do you think it's heavy? I know a lot of people think so, but I don't think so. But then again, I haven't carried it yet or even put my items in it...LOL.

I think it's a little heavy, but not overly so. I've had much heavier bags. Everything felt different to me about the oxblood bag when I saw it in store compared to when I got it in person. The weight, the shade of the color (darker). I noticed things I hadn't noticed when I looked at it in store. I am really curious to see if the black will wow me. I think too since my oxblood shipped from a store as opposed to from JAX, sometimes it can affect the overall "buying online experience" in that it wasn't packed up and wrapped in paper, etc.

Oh, I definitely know what you mean. I hate when it ships from a store, unless I've purchased it directly from that store and they are giving me one that's factory wrapped as was the case with my Oxblood Rogue. But when JAX has a store fulfill it, I'm never happy with it. I purchased an oxblood whiplash saddle bag that JAX had a store in San Antonio fulfill, and I sent it back the same day. It was an obvious display item or floor model, none of the hardware was wrapped, no paper was stuffed inside the bag. It was just the purse inside the dust bag in the box; I was so disappointed.

The oxblood Rogue is definitely more brown, but I still think it's nice; however, when I initially wanted an oxblood purse, I was thinking of burgundy, which is why I like the color Bordeaux. Thanks, you are saving me money. The more I type the more I realize I don't need the oxblood Rogue.

Oh no! Just used moisturizer on my nomad last night. Hope it doesn't cause any major issues. Wonder why it can't be used. I swear SA said it could be used on glovetanned.

You are getting some misinformation. Don't worry about your Nomad. I use Coach moisturizer on my Nomad and other glove tanned bags all the time, and they look beautiful.
Actually, when I was carrying my Nomad once in the Coach boutique, an SA thought my bag looked a bit dry, so she immediately took out some Coach moisturizing lotion and applied it to my bag! It looked great!! I have even used this moisturizer on my pebbled leather bags, such as the Borough and others, and there have never been any issues. ;)

I just looked at my bottle of Coach leather moisturizer and it says it is specifically formulated to condition and restore all Coach glove-tanned leather. So the one on Coach.com in the glass bottle may be a different formulation. I hope they still sell the one that comes in the white bottle.

Hmm interesting. The glass bottle moisturizer on coach.com says not to use on glove-tanned leather and the plastic bottle one they used to sell says it's okay to use. Did they change the formula? FOS used to sell the white plastic bottle one - not sure if they still do.

Maybe the new glove tanned leather have a different finish than they used to?
