I have seen and touched most of them person except for the suede and those with the exotic handles. It is a very nice leather, not tremendously thick, though. Overall a very high quality bag and I think it's priced just about right for what you get.

I've been very curious about that as I'd spoken to a Coach sales associated and was told the interior was also suede, but when I mentioned the online picture he did admit he'd only seen it at a company event and his store didn't carry the bag and wasn't entirely sure. I will assume it's leather also.

I'm only going by the pictures, so maybe I shouldn't comment at all, but I believe it goes like this:
- suede bag: side pockets have smooth leather inside, interior of central zippered area is lined in canvas
- leather bag: side pockets have suede inside, interior of central zippered area is lined in canvas

UPS says Wednesday, but they sometimes improve on their early estimates. I will post asap

Hopefully, I won't need to correct you because I want you to be right :-). I definitely want the interior to be smooth leather.

That could explain the apparent thickness... they've combined the layers to appear like a single piece though, with the skin on one side and the suede on the other. They may have needed to do this to get enough rigidity to support the tote handles. It's just one more thing to obsess over while waiting for UPS. I'm not going to be trying to see what's under the edge-paint once it arrives though.

Wait - did I misunderstand and you're saying the leather is smooth on both sides? Sorry, I should just be quiet as I haven't even seen one IRL.
