F/W 2012 - Bal Intel

I saw it today and it doesn't look like Caramel. The jury is still out on it for me. Looks more like peanut butter but seems to have some kind of yellow/orange undertone that I didn't expect and I can't really describe. I was hoping for something more like a Caramel too and this just misses the mark. Maybe it will grow on me, but I passed on it today and it was the color that I was most looking forward to.
However I think Mangue, Rose Thulian and Casis were all very pretty. I ended up with a Gris Tarmac Kraft bag though. Another neutral for me!
It is definitely not like Sahara. Much darker and bown/gold/yellow. Not beige or nude.
No, thank goodness. Not like those. More like real peanut butter, but to me there seemed to be some kind of undertone that was a bit off. At least for leather. It really does remind you of the spice Cumin which does have a bit of an unusual color. Maybe it was the lighting which is why I say the jury is still out for me. I'm hoping that I'm wrong and that I will love it more when I see a few more pieces.
Hmmm - well, if the lighting was as bad as the Bal-LA store, then I can totally understand not being able to truly decipher the color. The lighting in the boutiques is abysmal at best; I had to keep bringing the items to the door in order to see the color & leather.

It didn't really remind me of Anis. I think it is much browner than that and really not much green to it. Sorry that I can't help more. I'm hoping you can see it yourself while you are out there. Would love your opinion. I saw a Day. Sometimes the leather on the various styles looks different, even the color. Maybe has to do with the thickness of the leather?
I also heard that for the next collection (S/S 2013?) there will not be rose gold hardware but it will be back to gold. Assume it is still the mini giant, but forgot to specifically ask.

This is the boutique I always go to and the lighting is terrible! I always have to go completely out of the front door (at leat 5 steps) to see the color or else I'm in the middle of the back parking lot... The SAs must think I'm nuts!
I was planning to go today but had a crazy work day... I'm hoping to get over there on Friday... I'llreport back as soon as I see the goods irl!

I'm disappointed with the mangue...not so much at the colour but the leather! So dry, too papery...and not a nice even consistent dye job!!!! No, I can't swoon over this. Also, it is a nice yellow but it could have been deeper for me. Still a bit too close to mimosa which was too cold & neon for my liking. I still prefer a warmer richer yellow with a bit more orange.
Cumin - no for me because leather is also not great and I don't like this bird poo shade (I read some other tPF member nicknamed this shade and it's stuck in my head).
Vert Poker - rich, dark, saturated forest green. I was checking out the weekender, I think. The leather is still quite dry & thin.
I do like the Rose Thulian - it's more pink like a rich watermelon - not water colour watermelon though, more saturated. The RT bags were less dry and had more of a gloss to them. So personally, I only really like Cassis & Rose Thulian from FW 2012.

Also checked out a giant pompon in Bleu Cobalt but leather was dry too. I'm not very happy about the new leather at all.

Hello. I have never seen Bal Anis irl but I just googled some pics...yea, I think it leans that way but no orange or rust. If you looked a pile of cumin spice, it really is THAT colour but to me, it is not "beautiful" or "pretty" kwim? That's just me.
