Were the cashmere shawls 140? Yhe hat is really beautiful. How did you get the invite for Saturday? I received the invitation email on Thursday for 13 to 17, but I can’t attend, as I am on a business trip next week. If the invite would come sooner, I would schedule my trip differently. I went in 2022 and spent way too much money back then but live everything ai purchased… this time my money is safe :-)
Thanks! There were many cashmere shawls, including 140, 100, triangles and stolas. 140 were limited to 1 per person though.

My invite came April 17, around 10 in the morning, and I logged in to book a slot around 1-1.5 hrs later. The earliest available slots for my invite were Saturday, May 10, afternoon. It seems there were different choices for slots for different groups of clients…

Bummer you can’t go! It was fun and good chances of making great deals!

Thank you for your reply! I was wondering how did you get your invite in April already? What’s the secret? Are you ViP or high spender?

Hi everyone, I have a question about parking (I'm a little worried about not finding one tomorrow🙃). For those of you who've been here on Saturday or in the past few years, is there always a parking space? Or are there parking signs or someone who shows you where you can park?
thank you so much in advance!!!!! ☺️

There is plenty of parking directly in front of the entrance. Just follow your GPS.

Curiosity question for those who went on Saturday. What actually happened when your QR code was scanned? Was your name shown or what was visible to the person who scanned it? The reason - people were not allowed to enter if they had an invitation for a different date, and were told that Hermes has very strict rules how people attend the sale. Crazy! One needs to beg to spend your money…. What a genius marketing!

As often the case with Hermès, I guess we’ll never find out what the logic is 😁 I am by no means a VIP, and wouldn’t classify myself as a big spender (but I guess it’s all relative). I do spend on home accessories from time to time, and I made a SO for shoes last year - maybe that helped? I don’t know

The name is shown at the invite above the QR code, and personnel at the entrance compares it to the ID.

I guess they try to manage the crowds by limiting the spots to avoid the experience becoming unenjoyable due to too many customers being there at once

Thats common to most sales with designated slots.
I actually missed a Vip sale for one of my favorite RTW brands because I had to go into the office on what was originally a WFH day.
I did'nt even bother to turn up the next day despite being invited by the store director because I expected to get turned away.

Did they actually scanned your QR code at the entrance or only looked at the name vs your ID?
I was curious to understand their algorithm. I actually bought my Kelly last year, but didn’t really shop for anything else :-)

it depends on the organizer. I am going every year to The Row Sample Sale in NYC. They have a VIP day - the first day of the sale, so they inly let VIPs or alike in, the next days everyone can go, so ppl are camping in front or paying line sitters (that’s what i did). The slots are actually to manage the crowd, but the logic of Hermes doesn’t make much sense. You can bring 1+ with you, but not everyone does, so its really not about it. I think

Hi lovelies,

In the spirit of sharing with my fellow H lovers, I thought of sharing my observations and experiences during the first timeslot for the Dusseldorf sales last Sat:

I arrived about 10-15 mins after 10 am and was surprised to see the sales hall pretty filled up with clients from the first timeslot. It appeared that people do arrive at least 15-20 mins in advance and were let in ahead of the scheduled time (?)

Once you entered the sales hall, the first section was the RTW, followed by Shoes, Scarves and Costume Jewelries. Its highly subjective and dependent on your "must-get" priority of course-- I headed first to the shoes section as I was hoping to pick up some shoes (Sneakers and sandals) in my size of 38-39.

It seems that ladies with feet sizes of 36-37, above Sz 40s could get lucky with wider inventories. The selection was pretty random and was a miss or hit in this section, with collections ranging from 3 years ago till the last collection in '24 (if you are one of the lucky ones with the less common shoe sizes). Orans were going for 30% and all other shoes were going for 50% off -- THE CURRENT RETAIL PRICE. Sorry for capitalizing this, but I had to … The "original" prices were adjusted to the current 2025 prices, and the discounts applied thereafter. Be wise! The discounted prices might not appear as "cheap" as it should be.

After hovering around for a good 20 mins here and picking up 2 sneakers and a sandals I made my way to the RTW. Inventories were even more random now, I spotted some orphaned collections randomly ranging from 2020 and some from 2024 , with the H Mosaic Kimono jacket that caught my eye last collection as well. All RTW were discounted at 60% from their actual retail price (back then). Sweaters, silk twillanes, short jackets etc , random pieces across the sizes were spotted. Do enquiry with the friendly sales floor assistant, should you not find the right sizes you need. You might just get lucky. There just 3 changing rooms available, it is not the most optimum experience to be honest, if you need some privacy to try on tight fitting sweaters, dresses or pants. If not, most people just managed the try ons in front of the public mirrors around. I picked up a couple of sweater and and dresses. From the past 2 collections (Hurray!)
Scarves collection was really extensive and very recent motives like the "Carnival de Animapolis" and some I cant recall now from the last collection from 2024 HW. Colourways were very comprehensive as well! Prices as usual, 50% off the 2025 retail price. I let you do the mental calculations here :)

Summary:
  1. There is definitely enough time to cover all the sections in the sales hall, just make sure not to spend too much time hovering in one area.
  2. Be strategic and shop smartly, the prices are somehow less "discounted" compared to the past sales, esp the first one in Munich in 2021(?)
  3. Be kind and respectful to other shoppers too :) we are all here as H lovers to pick up some goodies from past collections, eg. the "ones that got away"
  4. Have fun!! And enjoy yourselves :)
