Wow. She is stunning….. nothing like those old ones! The canvas was so much thicker and better, I would never get rid of her if I were you! I had a 2012 mono GM I sold in 2016 for same price I bought her and got a new DE Mm… then got a DM GM then recently got a MM mono….obviously this is my fav tote out of all designers BUT nothing is like the 2012 canvas…… so regret selling. So treasure yours! Getting the vachetta replaced is so worth the investment!!! Good for you
yes, I love the canvas on this one. This is a bag I will never sell... also because I bought it when I first had my son to use as a diaper bag, so it has sentimental value for me

I think the neverfull is a very practical and casual bag that can stand wear and tear. I sold mine after 3 years because I was not getting use out of it. I had intended to use it for work but then I changed my job and it did not fit my work or lifestyle anymore. I actually made a profit of $400 which is crazy. The price increases and the limit in supply is really pushing up the resale market.

I don't think it has a 'basic' tote look because you have the drawstrings on the sides which can be clinched and that changes the ascetics of the bag, although I have not seen many people do this. I've never seen the neverfull in central London but I've seen it sooo much in the midwest.

I see a lot of LV on middle-aged women in the midwest and have yet to come across younger people wearing any type of LV. Although this could be due to the higher cost of LV in the states and the extortionate education costs here.

I completely agree, I think it is also very practical and durable. I've had my Neverfull MM in monogram with red interior for a long time now and has been used for almost every occasion. I stopped using it a while ago because I didn't feel like using a huge bag anymore. Now my mother has it in her collection and she loves it. I've seen both older and younger people use it but lately I definitely see less of it with the younger crowd.

The Neverfull is a great bag. Also what is nice about it as others have pointed out is if you do like to have less commonly seen bags(nothing wrong with that) you can always get one from a LE collection therefore being a bit different while still having a great bag.

I have also seen some get their bags professionally painted by artist to jazz them up abit aswell.

I don't think it is embarrassing at all, although I understand the "everyone has one" feeling. I used to feel that way, too. In fact, we used to joke it was a standard issue item when you moved into our city. I had even seen people on this site refer to it as "entry level" and I felt like it was a bag for younger women. (I am mid 40s.)

Then... I bought my first Neverfull. It's a practical, comfortable, roomy bag that's easy to organize and holds everything you'd need. Also, who cares what anyone else has or thinks? It is *your* bag and in the end, you should get what you like. I'm extremely happy with mine.

I just picked up my third Neverfull MM from the boutique today, in fact! Put myself on the waitlist yesterday for an MM Monogram and one came in this morning.

I just bought a Neverfull while in Dublin. I have liked them for years, before even trashy people had them(we all know its true). But now back in BostonI feel embarrassed to use it and like a super basic B. It hasn’t been opened, still in box. Would LV let me return here?

I’ve seen many people carry a Neverfull and look anything but basic. That’s a real shame that you would return it based on your perception of other people who might also carry one. Doesn’t leave too many options unless you’re having something unique made to your specifications.

I’m fairly certain that you can’t return an item to LV unless it was purchased in the same country. They probably don’t even have access to your purchase history from outside of the US.

I think you should be able to return for at least store credit or do an exchange, provided it's within the return period (of course you'll need the receipt).

About the NF style: it's only basic in a bad way if you are wanting a stand-out bag that makes a style statement. The NF probably isn't going to do that for you. But if you're looking for a low key basic tote that also says you're interested in high quality luxury goods then I think NF is your gal. I look at it like a more expensive Longchamp... a lot of people have them but it's because it's a staple type of product.

Why did you buy it then? I used to not like the NF but now I have multiples. I am never embarrassed to use it and yes I see them a lot. I never think they are trashy people or bags, I just see a person carrying LV and smile. If you like the bag, use it and who cares what other people think. I don’t understand where the neverfull got the reputation of being a trashy or cheap bag because it is neither.

It wasn’t meant to fire anyone up! I am here in bag friendship!! Thank you all for your thoughts.
I would try to return it or get store credit. You’re not 100% happy with it and I’m not here to judge your reasons why, but luxury purchases are expensive and I think if you’re anything less than thrilled with the purchase then maybe it’s not the best purchase for you?

I feel strongly that luxury purchases should fit well into my lifestyle but also feel special. For me the more ubiquitous an item is, the less special it feels to own it. I don‘t own a neverfull but I own a few goyard St. Louis totes and using the black and grey totes (more common colors)feels less special than using my blue St. Louis. Of course, I have them in my collection because they serve a purpose, but if my resources were more limited, the blue is the one I would keep!
