The Bal day I had listed was the NPB.... she sent me an email 3 days after the end of the auction that said her CC was hacked. I responded within 10 minutes and said that's fine, just let me know if it will be resolved soon, then no response from her. A week later I filed NPB and then she agreed to end the case within 12 hours. Finally, today, a week and a half later, she emails me back to say that it will take a month to resolve the hacked CC. Uh, okay. Whatever!!

The other buyer was an international buyer that bid without contacting me first(on a US only listing)... then after winning, she wants me to declare the bag for less on the customs form. Um, no. And finally, after she gets it, she complains that the tags aren't attached even though it's listed nwt(it's mentioned in the listing that the tag is not attached). She also states there are scratches on the handle.... of course, the bag is delicate lambskin so I can't deny it if there are, I have no pics of that area. I refund her $25. Ugh.... she was soooooo annoying throughout the entire transaction. I want to leave fb but I'm afraid I'll get a neg from her!

Anyhoo.... I'm glad you had good experiences with your transactions... I always try to list every minuscule detail so there can't be any complaints after the bags are received, but sometimes something gets missed. I myself am usually forgiving unless there's a huge flaw. Buyers who nit pick
drive me nuts... that girl got a $1350 nwt bag for less than 70%! In retrospect, I should have just asked for a return.

O I know what you mean! I go over my bags with a fine toothed comb cause I'm so paranoid they'll try and find something wrong. I have let so many things slide when I've bought a bag. I mean when you are getting a 1k+ bag for a fraction of the cost, give me a break! If anything it makes me really think a purchase now, just cause there's no protection for a seller it you get one of those buyers. So sorry this is happening to you thithiBonanzle is slower, but I'm just hanging in there with that. I've always sold every bag I've listed on there, sometimes it just takes forever.:smile1:

Ooh, don't get me started on feebay.

The sad thing is, there's no guarantee you'd have gotten your bag back. I sold an Hermes scarf to a woman, she *****ed up and down about the condition. I was all :confused1: but said OK, send it back -- because I knew I could sell it again.

The scarf she sent back wasn't the one I'd sent her! The one I got in return had dye bleeds all over it. :crybaby: Of course PayFoe sided with the buyer, as it usually does, and I was left with a scarf that's little more than a rag.

To add insult to injury, she left me a Neg!

god, how can people do that?? don't they have any conscience? I get so upset when I hear these stories, sorry this happened. It would definitely make me leery of selling anything. Try Bonanzle at least you have a bit more control of who you send your item to.

^^yeah, it makes me leery too of selling BUT then again, my consignment experience hasn't been all that great - taking over 6 months to sell an LV wallet (with a buyer that returned it because of a small tear - WHAT?) is ridiculous. When I finally got the bravery to sell myself, they were sold at higher prices and faster, even with fees and my time. I probably will go back to consignment for the high, high end pieces tho.

Mine haven’t sold yet (still need to add more) though there’s been some interest – mostly to trade though, which I don’t want to do. I also got a low offer – at this point, they haven’t been up there long enough for me to go quite so low, but maybe in a few weeks if nothing’s moving :p

Maybe because people are realizing that they owe for taxes? Still recovering from the holidays? New Year’s resolutions to spend less?

I’m going to try to be patient, but hopefully I can sell all of my stuff within the next month or two!

I'm hoping sales will pick up soon from people getting tax returns :graucho:

Me, too!!!

I did sell three bags and several other low-ticket items this week, and everything was on Bonanzle with one exception. :yahoo:

I  the Bonz - it is seriously the best! Yes, it's slower most of the time, but for certain brands (RM being one of them) the amount of *bay vs. Bonanzle listings for the bags is slowly becoming more even...and that is also true for other brands. One of my pet peeves (ridiculously low offers) happens on both sites, though.

But at least I don't feel so ripped off with the fees on the Bonz.

Okay, I have a question for you all - now that I am in my selling mode - and I have sold just about everything except for 3 bags (2 of which I can't list yet since they were pre-orders and are still in transit) and some small leather goods - I am finding it difficult to actually buy anything, even though it is getting to the point where I legitimately need to get another bag.

I am almost afraid to commit to buying anything...

Have any of you ever dealt with this?

I know it sounds bizarre, but it's the truth!!!

You all are really scarying me about *bay. I thought I had enough problems with out reading other ways people can scew me over LOL. I bought a piar of tennis shoes from a seller who had great feedback. they then up and vanished with out sending me the shoes. Then someone else left me negative feedback with out talking to me or trying to resolve anything. It was my first negative feedback ever.

I can't belive it about the Hermes scarf. The nerve of some people.

Yes definantly. I noticed since I purged my collection I am a lot more selective and even nervous about buying anything. The being selective thing is ok. But nervous (minus that buying from *bay is a risk) I am not sure what that is about.

I am so sorry that you feel that way (not regarding the selective part, rather the nervous part) but at least I feel better knowing that I am not the only one a bit altered from the purging experience! :lawl:

I have been feeling the same about my purchases, much more selective. I have way too many bags and am trying to reduce my "collection" which is a bizarre way to describe ones handbags! That is an entirely different topic which should be a thread! The impact of tPF on our lives!!! I remember a few years ago when I stumbled upon tPF I thought it hilarious that all of these women were so fascinated by their bags:D Fast forward, and here I am with close to 40 bags and half of them quite expensive:blushing:

Back to the topic - I really have been trying to whittle my down my handbag collection and plan to limit myself to buying 1 bag this year. I am not there yet, but that is my goal! I have sold 14 bags since Lo started this thread and have ordered a few bags that are more useful for me. I also have 4 listed and am trying to decide which bags are next! I have entirely organized my closet (I have claimed a small bedroom as my closet) and now I am very aware of what I have.

I wish I could get to where you are Lo-down to a small number of well-thought out bags. That is probably why you are feeling more pressure or reluctance to buy - you know that you need to make your 3 (I still think 5) bags work for you!
