Ever purged your collection in pursuit of one bag? How did it go?

I am doing pretty well, but my purging’s been paused while I work on grad school stuff – but I am anxious to start up again. I know that I at least will be selling 3 of the every day and 1 of the clutches, but there are a few more that I’m on the fence about, so I could potentially get to much less; still trying to figure out my magic number. I would like to pick up something else – but I don’t feel like I’m in a rush to do this. I’ve narrowed down the color, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten : )

My last bag related purchase was July 30 (I don’t think I’ve purchased clothes either since before then, save for a few things for running). Not the longest I’ve gone without a purchase, but I feel like it’s the longest I’ve gone without feeling a strong need to buy something. I’ve been spending a lot of time on Money Talks and Health & Fitness, and focusing on savings and fitness. Still need to work on eating out, but feeling much better about everything in general.

Planning to list the four things, maybe more, by the end of the month, and hoping that they’ll sell quickly. I’ll check in after that happens. I’m at the point where I might price things low just to get rid of them. I’d also like to try to live more simply in general, so will focus on purging other things, like clothes, next.

Glad to hear that so many of you are doing so well. I also would love an update from Lo!

I've sold everything that was on my "cull" list and traded two bags through Bonz but I have now lost interest in buying. I rotate bags regularly and if I get anymore, they will start to sit unused for too long.

That's kind of the point I'm at, too. I like using all the bags I have on a regular basis. Otherwise it feels like a waste to have them.

Exactly how I feel about my bags. I don't mind switching them out every night. I want every piece in my collection to be well loved. If I can't give it, I'll just pass it down to a family member to fufill this task.

I miss Lo's insight. Hope she returns soon!!!

Her influence has been such a positive one on my buying habits. I've never been happier with my handbag collection and that's huge in part due to my purging SO many bags that were just sitting in dust bags and now I"m more of a selective buyer. That's handbag power and feels great!

i'm done sorting through my bags :) was feeling itchy after my last buy but i think i've straighten myself out. it does feels good to not be chasing after the next bag. miss Lo too ... i bought a mz wallace cos of her lol i wonder what did she buy :D
