Something small like a wristlet or a very small purse, maybe by Chanel or Balenciaga. I don't like bringing big bags (even the first) to formal functions.
I've become very fond of my black Chloe paddington clutch for formal events. I agree tassles are not very formal, so an envelope clutch if it must be balenciaga. I think every girl should have a few Lauren Merkin clutches (silver, gold, white) in different colors, the style is classic and lovely.
i think if julianne moore can carry balenciaga to the oscars, it can work for any formal event...
but i wouldn't carry anything larger than a first...
the makeup and shoulder are perfect for evening, especially in the new brighter colors...
some of the non-moto styles are also great for evening, like the moon clutch....
I think some styles can be dressier, but I see dressy and formal to be different. Depending on the outfit (or gown) I could do my oval or a makeup clutch. Besides that, I'd go for a clutch with more classic lines. Just me.
Beautiful dogs!!! Great size too, not too little and not too big. They make life "perfect" don't they??? I have a little plaque that reads " Life is just better when I am with my dog" so true!
I personally would use my Chanels for formal events but if you really want Balenciaga, then I suggest that fold over clutch with GH... I'm hunting one downn in Black or Plomb GGH...
