When I went to LV yesterday I asked for the DE pochette (they had a few as of Friday but I missed my chance) - she came back with the Croisette and the Felicie I think - she said the Eva and PA were discontinued so this is what she could offer. (I was wearing my Favorite MM).
Is this the sales tactic? Take away reasonably priced, super popular items to force people to buy more expensive items that aren't as functional for that person? :annoyed:

what country are you in? I'm in Canada and I called customer service about the PA and they said the item is just on back order but they are not being discontinued.... ugh I wish there was consistent answers being provided. i'm on the fence about getting the PA but dont want to rush into purchasing it.

My SA told me about a month ago that Eva is discontinued (Denmark), they didn't have the DE in stock anymore and wouldn't be getting more of them. I was told Felicie would be the new replacement.

I'm in Canada and CS doesn't seem to be the best with info. I asked them about locating a discontinued item and they said it's no longer in any stores, I called my SA and decided to just ask and she had 2 in stock. I asked CS about PA and they said it's not discontinued. I spoke with an SA very recently and she confirmed it's gone as well as the Favorite. I just wish they were all on the same page. TPF is my go to for info. I just got my PA in DE very recently- didn't want to miss out.

I asked my SA about the discontinuations on the smaller bags as rumored here. She didn't seem aware of anything except the Eva bag which was taken off the website I believe.

However she mentioned that these items have had very low inventory recently which was odd.

When I called customer service 866 number the lady told me that in fact the pochette nm was being discontinued so definitely a lot of misinformation going around.

Lv seems like discontinuing all their cheaper items. I went on their website today and all these cheaper card holders are no longer available. I called their customer service asked the availability, but representative said they are out of order and did not mention about when the items will be available. So i am guessing they are focusing on marketing to sell the more expensive products.

Agree. I'm getting the same feeling. Looking at their moves in the past year or so, they are definitely bumping up overall average price line.
But I love the Pallas clutch! Gorgeous with the touch of leather on top. It just unfortunately does not fit as much...

thanks for your input! I purchased a few items last week due to all the rumours. it's hard for me to believe the SAs because I feel like they're just trying to make a sale by saying "X is being discontinued, so buy this last piece or buy this alternative". But actually, when i went in-store on Friday, they had 1 MONO PA left and the SA did not seem concerned at all for me to "buy this last one", she told me I can order them online instead. sigh! only time will tell..

I have never bought a pre-loved bag. The Real Real doesn't have any stock right now. Tradesy has several but the quality does not look as good. Have people ever received a fake from Tradesy? How do they ensure an authentic item if they never see the purse IRL? Sorry I'm such a newbie! :) And thank you for your help!

My best friend lives in AU and he was told that is sold out and to call back in 2 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! I'll report back if I hear its back in stock.

Check out Fashionphile. Free shipping and 30 day turns with free return shipping. I've purchased from them and had my items authenticated afterward. Lots of times the items were in brand new condition!
