Yes, I tried both of them on the other day. Eva is definitely longer. But Eva also has that little bit of zipper that may add length to the strap.

This is crazy, all my favorites are getting discontinued. Should I buy another Eva? I don't need another Eva. *panic* 
Hey ladies, I did ask one of the SAs (not the one I bought my bag from because she was in the back boxing it up) and she looked surprised by my question and said "No? Not that I'm aware of?"
So possibly if it's true someone had more limited information that was not shared in a company-wide memo yet.
If anyone else pops in the boutique maybe they could ask, too?
Why would they discontinue a bag that is priced at $775 and replace it with another style that is $1100? That makes absolutely no sense and I feel certain this is just not true. The Eva is still very popular for several reasons, the strap, price point along with a zipper are probably the top three. I will do some further research and follow up on this.
Yeah, you make very good points. I was told last fall the Artsy was being discontinued by one SA, and found out later that wasn't true. I don't know if some SAs just make public statements based on their own opinions or what...
I have heard a couple SAs (this was about a year ago) make comments about TPF and how you can't trust anything here, but sometimes I feel that way about SA when I hear this kind of thing. I am a total advocate for open communication.

they don't seem to know anything. That's why I only work with one SA that I trust completely. I haven't had any wrong Info from here so far.
I agree, it's a lovely bag. I'm glad it's not true. But wishing she didn't say that to me, as it totally swayed my decision in purchasing.

No kidding! I had asked about the Neverfull in DE with RB and was told that it was "fake" by a store manager. I gave all the info I had here and said it was not. Then more info suddenly came out that it is coming out on August 1st when she did more research.
This is what I've come to expect when dealing with SAs I don't know. Most of them only know what they have currently in the store. They have problems when it comes to disseminating information down the line to the SAs who are dealing directly with the customers. But NOT ALL i'd say. Some nicer SAs will admit they have no such information and therefore cannot comment.
