On another note,
would you ladies recommend the solitaire, although smaller, than the soleste?
I know the soleste has a bigger look, and I will go with what makes me happier (most likely solitaire) but what are you opinions?
Others have mentioned that the soleste might not stay in style long, etc..

Pick the one that you love the most regardless of brand, size or style.

As a person who has the Tiffany solitaire, I love it. I can pair it with many wedding bands, literally any Tiffany wedding band goes with this ring. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about the only stone getting loose since it has six claws. As for my Tiffany diamond wedding bands, I have had stones coming loose a few times over the years and I would need Tiffany to tighten them again. If you do decide to get the Soleste, make sure that you have the ring cleaned and inspected by Tiffany every couple of months.

Good to know! Another reason I love there are so many locations

Get what you like.

The comment regarding the pendant--if the diamond you want is presently set into a pendant they will remove it from the pendant and set it into the Tiffany setting you choose within reason, i.e. a solitaire or soleste.

I know someone mentioned that you can get a pendant diamond set into the ring. Would this make a bigger size cheaper? What is the difference?

It doesn't make a bigger size cheaper, it just increases the inventory availability if the exact specs that you want can't be found in a presently set ring but does exist in pendant form. It will also (obviously) delay the date of you getting the ring.

Congratulations! This thread has been really helpful for me. I'd love a Tiffany ring, and think the solitaires are beautiful. The price, however, is another matter for me! Can I ask what carat you went with? (I know our situations are different!). I probably can only go as high as the quarter, and am wondering whether this will look too small. I'm definitely not a big diamond girl, and wear no other rings. Also I have thin fingers which can only make it look bigger! Did you see the smaller ones in person?
