I have a radiant cut flanked with two half moons. I absolutely love it, although I initially wanted a cushion. The jeweler talked my husband out of it, probably because he couldn't get one easily.

I have a cut-corner princess with 85 facets. The shape looks similar to a radiant or a cushion. I love it, I think it is really unique. It is set in the Ritani Endless Love micro-pave setting.

Wow I would really love to see pics of this! I also used Ritani's Endless Love as inspiration...so I am interested to see yours!

Also, I agree that in my area, it seems most of the newly engaged couples opt for princess cuts. In fact, 2 of my friends have almost identical rings! Both 1ct princess solitares set in what looks like Tiffany's Lucida setting in WG.

I have an oval solitaire set in platinum that is 1 2/3 carats. I love the oval shape because it is whimsical and brilliant. It has the brilliance of a round solitaire. It makes me smile everything I view its sparkle.

i have a (barely) rectangular radiant with 2 prong set princess diamonds flanking, and channel set princess stones in the band. my wedding band is a channel set princess eternity band. i get compliments on my rings almost daily, mostly because people like my radiant stone. princess is the more trendy stone in my area, but i personally don't like the way the corners have to be protected with larger corner prongs. i know someone with a heart shaped ring (a heart is pretty much a pear or "teardrop" with a cleft at the larger end) and i think she wears it so that the heart is facing her. in the end, its just whatever u like the most, there are no rules! i know plenty of women who wear their engagement rings on the inside of their wedding bands cuz they just like that look better or want to "protect" the more expensive ring. as an fyi, heart shaped diamonds are not that common and u might have a harder time trying to locate a stone that u would want....
